New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Here’s the thing for the moaners, the name is purely for media use, you don’t have to call it that

You can call it BMD, Bramley Moore, The Hill, the HD or simply Everton Stadium (which will be used anyway for Euro 2028), it’s entirely up to you, if the Kult or any other fans want to make juvenile jokes about it, laugh at or with them don’t get wound up or ‘embarrassed’ by it ffs

Correct. West Ham's old stadium wasn't called Upton Park but it was still commonly called that, and used much more than it's official name. If BMD continues to be used by fans it will pass into common parlance regardless of what the building is called.

10 mil a year for a crap name or would you rather have 6 mil a year for a 'trendy' name (Emirates)?

Its all about the money, no matter what, we are all going to call it BMD.
Do you really believe the "up to £10M" means £10M?

In any case, and as said: how on earth can a mickey mouse company like Hill Dickinson with a turnover of £100M afford to hand over £10M per year to Everton?

It's an utter sham of a story.

They've gone for a quick sale for a bargain price IMO and they didn't;t have the patience too get the appropriate deal.

Even allowing for all that and it's about £3M per year with more if Everton win trophies (no chance in the short term) this small business even paying out that makes no sense to me.

It's very suspicious.

Nope.

Not at all.

It's all about how out of whack OUR brand is with that mickey mouse solicitors firm.

This is off the charts crazy even for Everton.

£4M a year it'll be with zero profile from our association with them.

That is appalling.

Tell me I'm wrong.

Get that. Would feel better for a profile name to boost the commercial side. But if you look at stadium names world wide...apart from the big boys, you don't see many branded names. They're either cars manufacturers or middle east sports washing.

And no one knows the amount. £10mill is mooted, probably less than that, but still one of the most lucrative in Europe. So ball park is £5mill.

Also don't know who was interested and what money was tabled.

Sounds more of a case of expectations Vs reality.

In hill dicky we trust

It won't be anywhere near £10m a year, look at the turnover of the company, they are not a charity.
So why is it being reported as so ?

It's out in the press now , there maybe strings attached as stay in the Prem.
Extra for Champions lge or Europe places as it should be.

The journos, media and the club itself would lose all credability if it was a paltry figure.

Dave, im sure the owners have done their due diligence on this and im certain that the naming right contract for the '10m per year' has been looked into properly.

I would guess that if their turnover is 100mil and they are giving us 10mil per season then their turnover will get bigger and bigger each year.
I suppose thats the point, everyone's winner, their business grows and we can a nice return in the meantime.

Like i said the name is crap but its the owners interest to get the best deal for the club and these might of been the best on offer.

This defo is. How are they throwing '£10M" per year at this stadium?

They're just not big enough.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn there's some connection to the debt.

The interconnected world of finances and law will be the answer here.

What that will be and how it'll affect us Ilm not sure. But Ild bet my bottom dollar that there's some connection between stadium debt and this lot somewhere along the line.

That's the only way it makes sense. Anyone else thinking this?
