Did you see Sanchez the other end? Hes regarded as a poor keeper. He made 2 saves that was harder to make than the goal Chelsea scored and took about 5 corners out the air. Pickford wont take 5 corners in a season. Hes a liability and saving a few shots a league 2 keeper would save doesnt change that.

6 Ft 6 GK more commanding in the box than a 6 Ft 1 GK, what a shock.

The Mcneil save from sanchez was right at him, I dont know why much was made about it.

Don`t see why a 6ft 1 GK should not command his penalty area any worse than anyone taller. I always got the impression that Pickford is a bit short for a keeper but he`s the same height as Southall. Its a part of his game that really lets him down, that mess yesterday a few minutes before the goal is a good example of that, and I don`t see it improving. He leaves balls played into the area that he should come to claim for his center halves to deal with, and the few times he does come for them there`s a good chance he`ll make a mistake.

You`re right all keepers have dodgy moments, but Pickford has one most times he comes for a cross and flaps at it.

I mean its just basic that a taller keeper is going to be more commanding. Some smaller keepers will be better at it, just like some players are better at kicking the ball than others.

Continually comparing Pickford to Southall is just silly. Southall is talked about as one of the best ever. Pickford is not, so why bother expecting him to do things that Southall done.

Do people compare Mcneil to Messi on his short comings?

Compare him to other keepers of his standard in this league and when you do that, hes better than the vast majority of them.

Jordan has his moments of crap, but is all in all a good keeper for us. Are there better? Yes, ofc, he plays for a crap Everton for a reason, but hes decent and does have moments of brilliance, just like he has moments of garbage.

It is not a "love in" it's just people looking at all the other keepers and seeing that he is one of the best. All keepers have dodgy moments, Pickford has one and suddenly he is "not that great". I just don't understand it.

His loyalty is commendable, he's also a very good keeper. I do think think crosses are his biggest weakness and yesterday it was an issue. To be fair, it really hasn't been an issue most of the season.

I would personally say that pass to Beto was a poor decision for a number of reasons but that's nitpicking
