In the position we were in probably the only realistic option. What he hopefully should bring is the ability to win against the teams mid table and below. The top six. It'll be a plucky close defeat or a fighting point. I'm content with that for next season.

HIs form since he came back is around top 8, thats with this squad.
Next season for sure we will have better players than what he has available now.

Nuno has done it with Forest
Emery has done it with Villa
Howe has done it with Newcastle
Ariola has done it with Bournemouth

Its really not that hard in this league, you have 2 certainties to go down each season and 4-5 for the top spots, the rest is up for grabs if the recruitment is right.

It can be done and has been done.

And should be being done with a club of Everton’s stature. This club should be winning things.

I reckon if he had a full season this year with the same squad we would be around 10-11th, so with additions in the summer why couldn't we be in the top half most of next season floating around the European spots.

Begovic must have missed the last 9 games.

He hasn't evolved since leaving and the issues we had with him last time are all present and correct.

He'll be allowed to get us into mid table obscurity but the protection he enjoyed last time has gone. He won't be allowed to waste talent.
