Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mixture of adding quality and numbers. I'm guessing a couple signed for immediate first choice and others to develop and challenge existing players.

I don't know why everyone is so opposed to soucek , he's not a statement signing but he's effective and scored goals from the midfield which we need. I think he would be a solid squad player for around 15 million
I think he is a poor mans Fellaini and his only attribute is being tall. A set piece player.

Would prefer someone very neat and tidy on the ball who can also drive forward with it.

I know delap will have lots of options but I doubt he will join a top 6 team and be starting every week. Least here he will be starting, I hate to say it but I think a move to a club like us could be a stepping stone before moving to a top 6 club.

In an ideal world he would be able to help Everton to possibly become a top 6 club in the future or we could make some tidy profit on him.

I personally think Longstaff would be an upgrade in our midfield, even if it’s not a statement signing by any measure. But I don’t think £20M would be the price or that a player like him at that price is wise.

More importantly, I have no doubt he will extend his contract. He’s a local and seems content with the chances he gets.

We have more chance to get Miley, who isn’t happy. But he’d cost a penny and isn’t a proven starter yet.
They only took the years option on Longstaffs contract in dec/jan to ensure they get a fee for him. Ludicrous that anyone is suggesting £20m for him when he is out of contract in a year. He is a workhorse when it’s creativity we are lacking. In a year we will be wanting to improve on him again so not worth £20m. Second half of season he is getting like 2 mins a game and his minutes have dropped significantly.

We have zero chance of getting Miley. He is very happy there (don’t know where you are getting him being unhappy from) and is seen as their long term future. He was injured virtually whole first half of season and is back ahead of Longstaff in the pecking order now. He will play plenty for them next year when they are back in Europe.

Willock is the one who might want out as he isn’t local and isn’t getting significant minutes even though he plays more regularly than the others. (and is currently better than both Longstaff and Miley and would improve our midfield).

Cherki and delap are sadly out of range now I recon, I’d argue championship recruitment could be a lot more exciting e.g. fellows
We'll spend a lot of money to do that.

Talk is £15m for Fellows. £35-45m for Chris Rigg, £25m for Dan Neil.

There are good players in the Championship, but they are really expensive generally these days - don’t think otherwise!
