To play Devils advocate.

Logic dictates we move on from Richarlison, he’s hit his age resale peak, he’s prob at his development peak, he’s likely going to pick up injures increasingly based€ on miles on the clock and his style of play.

But what if we say feck the logic - we have billionaire owners, a shiny new stadium that’s going to make us money, squad costs going to go down sharply. What if our new owners want to make a P.R. signing and invest to do so, get the fans onside, shift merch, attract sponsors with a Brazilian no 9. Similar to getting the blood racing when they brought in Rom into Roma.

What if it defies logic, but our owners do it anyway, take on the cost and all the risk and a “we’re here and we get you signing”.

Then we end up right back here in 7 years time, but with no new stadium to look forward to.
