NFL 2025 Season

Looking forward to the draft to see what Loomis will do. With Carr out, it's a rebuild year, but Loomis is a degenerate draft gambler so this is like watching the one uncle at the wedding who's had a little too much, just waiting for something to tip.

He needs to rip the bandage off and suffer a couple of 1-2 win seasons to get through the massive dead cap backlog and players who can’t play anymore. Won’t do it though, because he’d have to admit how bad he messed things up in the first place. As a Bucs fan, of course I find all this tremendously funny.

I’d have loved us to get Hunter but given how awful we are it probably makes sense to take a QB. Ward doesn’t look like a generational talent but he does have a high ceiling.

Some thoughts:

- Titans GM should be shot. Browns GM proceeds to show what the pick was worth in a good trade down, then prove he's still the guy who made the Deshaun Watson trade at #5.

- Love Pete Carroll taking Jeanty at six. Never watched a Carroll team and wondered what moron assembled this mess. Hunter may have more value, but Jeanty is the best player here.

- Bears QB strategy continues to be assembling enough weapons we could play QB.

- No one has reached for Neon Deion's kid, yet. Titans might have been able to get Hunter and Sanders, though my guess would be someone will trade up for Sanders late in the first. Usually how it goes when a clear #2 QB on boards plummets.

- Fairly boring overall, reflective of the shallow talent pool on offer. If it's stacked like '04, that's when we see wheeling and dealing.

#99 and next year's third? Bleah. If you want one of the guys who has fallen, now's the time to make a move.

Interesting the Giants went Dart.
