Its interesting to see they are as confused as I am about the wage bill. By all means it appeared it would be far more reduced that season with all of the players who left. Its the only real issue we have ongoing. For example, Palace had similar revenue, but a wage bill of 100m(instead of our 150m).

I was just joking, mate. I was making fun of the inconsistent PSR rules that punished us and let Chelsea off the hook by selling their own hotel to themselves. I completely agree with you.

We carry a very heavy ship mate, people put much of the expense down to players and while they are paid handsomely - some big contracts have come to an end in the past 3/4 years and haven’t shifted the dial significantly.

Up until the Moshiri era directors weren’t taking a wage, we have bigger sports science, medical, nutritional and numerous roles in the footballing dept. I’ve done some loose figures on what I expect the playing squad to cost and if I’m ball park we pay a lot of money to a big non playing staff as well. We employ 500 staff permentky and another 1000 casual for match days etc.
