Top talent, either Moyes doesn’t fancy him or it’s another homegrown PSR inevitably.
That would make sense and would probably hone his technical skills as well as build his confidence as a person, particularly for a decent European side.Intermediate step is into a good European league on loan, as Branthwaite did.
After he signs a new long term contract in the summer though
He was on loan at Stockport, then got injured so came back.Whatever happened to the last Next Big Thing, Tyler Onyango?
Ridiculously bad luck with injuries mainlyWhatever happened to the last Next Big Thing, Tyler Onyango?
This should really be what we do - sending him to the belgian/dutch/danish (a league of that technical level) league would see his all around game improve massively I think.Intermediate step is into a good European league on loan, as Branthwaite did.

Did Branthwaite ever have a championship loan though?
Unless he’s getting exposure to European football, he’s probably played at a higher standard in the championship than some of these other European leagues might offer unless he’s at a top club. If he’s good enough o be starting for one of them then he should probably be playing for us (as Branthwaite could well have been)
We miss a player who can lick it up from defence and find passes through the lines in possession. Gueye is not that player. Garner potentially. Iroegbunam seems to want to play further forward. It could be a really good opportunity for Harrison to offer an option in the first team squad in that position.
Either way if we lose Doucoure and bring Alcaraz in Moyes has a clutch of decent young players there in Garner Iroegbunam Alcaraz Armstrong to play alongside Gueye.
Branthwaite went to Blackburn for second half of 20/21
I’d forgotten that ha
They loved him there didn’t they?Branthwaite went to Blackburn for second half of 20/21
Gana, McNeil, Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Garner, Iroegbunam, maybe even Doucoure, likely at least two new midfielders joining in the transfer window - that's sufficient for a club aiming for a top half finish. Obviously it would be great if we could give him loads of minutes to improve here, but he wont be in position to start loads of games next season, so imo it makes total sense to loan him and have the option to recall if we so wish.People wanting him to go on another loan seem to think we have an abundance of quality midfield options for some unknown reason
see him as a much more skilled and cheaper replacement for doucoure, with alacaraz or another singing, or even mcneil taking the starting spot
He was just "Big" but never the next thing.Whatever happened to the last Next Big Thing, Tyler Onyango?
