Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all. How is everybody? I'm so pleased you got positive results @Gwladysover.
I'm very glad I'm off today- the last two days have been an IT nightmare. We've had no functioning system availability at all. It's so frustrating. 7 years and counting since we got this system. Within days,it became very obvious it was totally unfit for purpose.
We've had rain, snow and sunshine here today - in the space of about 3 hours!
I'm away out for lunch in a minute- I still have no car. Hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow or Friday. I've borrowed daughters Astra. Nice car but I feel like I'm sitting on the floor. My old creaky knees are not impressed with getting out of it!🤣 I much prefer my SUV.
Chris has two appointments today - dermatology and oncology. There's no reason for them to be anything other than positive but it's always a worry. Keep your fingers crossed for him .
Have a good day x
Best wishes to you and Chris

Mrs BR had both hips replaced in 2019. I got her a Peugeot 3008 instead of the saloon She was driving. She loved it and got another late last year.

Still trying to understand the high technology!!
If we're going anywhere together it's always in the 3008. My. 508 is too low for her 😂

Heard some upsetting news from our daughter this afternoon. Her husband’s grandparents were the victims of a distraction burglary today. A man called at the door claiming to be from a company who had taken over the servicing of their boiler and wished to check it. SIL’s grandad wouldn’t normally have let him in but the boiler had needed a spare part during the last service so he was caught a bit off guard. They are both in their late eighties and Nan has Alzheimer’s but the heartless b*****d walked off with her handbag. Grandad now blames himself for being stupid. Police said that there were several incidents in their village today so they weren’t the only victims . Sometimes words fail me.

That's awful. I don't know how people who do that can live with themselves. But I guess they just don't have any humanity about them.

So sorry to hear this, there are some absolute scumbags around these days…….

I always find it strange to be lectured about losing a few pounds when the nurse I see must be twice my size.
Yes.Do as a say not as I do . I do know that if I can it will help all different things ,like sore knees and BP . Our problem is my wife is around the same height and not much lighter but not a word to her !! He said my ideal BMI would mean losing 8 kilos ,I would look like a zip and my loving wife says muscle weighs heavier than fat .

Good morning all on this white one here .I hope all are well and had a good night .
@anjelikaferrett I hope it went well for Chris .Off out shopping today ,I finally got a working laptop of a red but the" @ "isn't working which is making it hard to download the software !! I am now rebooting it so we will see ,that as well as being windows might lead to a few naughty words being uttered .Have a great day all COYB.

Sorry to hear that jazzy, what did your mum say, although tbh I can imagine…….
Completely in denial that there was a problem. She was on "good form " much to the amazement of my wife who later said to me " so she can hear and reply when she wants to " .

Made us look like fools despite me and Mrs J articulating the problem and giving details of instances.

"Well she seems fine to me and is 97. As for the pain well theres not much we can do about it".

As I said - waste of time. We tried.

Life will get them back eventually, it always does in the end.
