Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Keane will go this summer, hopefully not Braithwaite. Can see why we are linked…..again! Semedo at wolves is available as he’s out of contract. Would anyone take him on a 2 year deal at 31?
Need less older players you are constantly turning them over after a year or two.
He isn't a bad player though saying that.
Wouldn't mind that midfield player off them that was MoM Andre or something looked very good .

In PL history how many times have we bought a PL rivals best player, regardless of where they are in the table ?

Sigurdsson perhaps - he cost a pretty penny. Beattie ? Andy Johnson ? Yakubu ? Pickford ? Gana ?

Usually it is after they are relegated anyway, oir past their sell-by date.

Lukaku stands out as our best PL->PL transfer - even then, he wasn't first team at Chelsea.

Really good player but I'd prefer the other Wolves fullback Ait Nouri, only 23 and a much more attacking fullback than Mykolenko. Only thing is Wolves won't want him to leave, he'll be expensive and other clubs will want him.

I don't think in most cases trying to get players from other PL clubs is the route we should take.

The premium makes it just too expensive and we have too many positions that need strengthening.

Even from The Championship it's difficult but more doable.

At least some part of the strategy has to be to find players before they come with Premier League transfer values, not after.

Bolasie, Ashley Williams

Seemed to be the strategy of Moshiri to copy City’s growth by buying from PL teams but instead of buying good players (Tevez, Adebayor, Barry, Lescott, Bridge etc.) we just bought a load of rubbish (Pickford and Gana aside)

we continue to be linked with Rangers striker Hamza Igmanane, we were linked in January but Rangers wanted £25m. The 22 year old Moroccan has been decent for them, 9 goals in 23 games in the league, but possibly not worth that kind of money, its hard to judge a player on Scottish football, though he has scored 4 in 7 games in Europa League as well.

Looks like a mobile CF, has played LW and AM as well, so could give us options within the squad.

You may as well buy the whole Rangers club and just tranfer him to us it wouldn't be much difference in price .
We could use them as are feeder club.

The thing that stands out about him to me is that his arse seems to be in a different post code from the rest of his body half the time

links from a Juventus site to Antwerp midfielder Mahamadou Doumbia, the 20 year Mailian is attracting a lot of interest, but rumours are that he will only move to a club that can offer him first team football. As he is primarily a defensive midfielder and we like to play with 2 of those most of the time, we are probably a better prospect than Juventus or Sevilla.

Im a litle worried about how many changes we will need, I really hope decisions are made early.

The new players need as much time together as possible, worry we could wait too long on many deals, and start the season slow.

It is an expensive business getting together a team of PL quality players - a lot of expensive mistakes are made by every team.

You can understand why - when a team unearths a reliable PL talent - they want a premium.

You need to be very sure that PL player is vital to the squad.
