Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Some links to 31 year old Man Utd CB Victor Lindelof. He is on a free in the summer, reported to be on £120k a week at the moment. I dont see us signing him though, I think he is the wrong sort of profile of player, but also I dont think he is right for the premier league, he is being linked with a move to Italy or Portugal as well and I think thats more likely, the slower pace and lighter contact in those leagues will probably suit him more.

Really don't know why some articles link us with him for every transfer window I reckon over the last 4 years esp considering it's been our strongest position during that time

Cb is a strange one becuase we will need one and with branthwaite maybe going or have him for another year. Then have tark who is getting on then obrien, so dont kno if we will look to make a short term signing for a tear to be 4th choice or look to a younger one to have around the team and be ready to step up the season after having obrien as third choice

Been linked a fair bit with that French CB at Burnley, Esteve and only early 20's.

The good thing is that the planning can start pretty early and for PL only now we've pretty much secured the league status. Gives us a bigger pot of players and much better position for negotiations.

Given we have to expect to see a big overhaul it's a good thing we can do that.

I will await news of where Christian Norgaard ends up when he is released from Brentford in the summer…
Brentford has an option to extend for another year which they are expecting to take. They are trying to get him on a new contract but I guess worst case scenario for them is to extend and sell in the summer. Not sure i would want to pay for him, at least not what would brentford want.

Just think problem is dont think would come to wel be 4th choice and sit on bench. I do feel would be good and future planning if we got one in to develop.
Tbh I don't see Moyes playing a development type player, when would they get a chance? id rather a rotation player so we are not having to play the same players all the time, its why we get injuries due to having no options.

Isn't he their captain? I'd be surprised if Brentford release him, more like he's running down his deal to get one last big career move so I doubt a move to somewhere like here is factoring in his mind currently when they'll be plenty of other options especially in London.

Moyes signed Distin when he was 32 didn't he? Dawson also did a good job for him at West Ham for a few years when already in his 30s so a player of that type to replace Keane I wouldn't have an issue with as cover given how established the first choices are at CB and I don't see that changing too much start of next season.

Keane will go this summer, hopefully not Braithwaite. Can see why we are linked…..again! Semedo at wolves is available as he’s out of contract. Would anyone take him on a 2 year deal at 31?

Mean similar to an obrien close to being ready but will grow into the season. But can see both ways bringing in more experonece.
