Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Some links to 31 year old Man Utd CB Victor Lindelof. He is on a free in the summer, reported to be on £120k a week at the moment. I dont see us signing him though, I think he is the wrong sort of profile of player, but also I dont think he is right for the premier league, he is being linked with a move to Italy or Portugal as well and I think thats more likely, the slower pace and lighter contact in those leagues will probably suit him more.

Apparently Spurs want £40m for Richarlison, looking at his injury record, its not great, missed 34 games across 2 seasons. I would be a bit concerned if we spent a significant amount of our budget on him, even though I like him as a player and he ran through brick walls for us, he can play up top or out wide. If we could get him on loan with an obligation to buy, if he played a certain number of games, I think that would be a better plan for us.

I love Richy, but no.

It makes no sense except for reasons of sentimentality.

He's crap, high wages and injury prone avoid at all costs, hopefully we've moved along from buying overpriced, overpaid players who the top 4 need to get rid of.

Going full fm here but....
12 month loan 5 mill flat...
2.5 mill bonuses if he plays 25 games and gets 10 goals/assists
Obligation for 25 mill when he hits the 25 game mark
5 mill in appearances/goals

Would get them close to the 40 mill figure and would mean it'd be value for money for us, everyone's a winner

You missed one thing out there, the snake that is Daniel Levy to deal with.

They want too much for him. Unfortunately, his goal returns at Spurs, coupled with his injury record there does not equal a £40M player.

If he'd continued banging in 13-15 goals a season while he was there, then fair enough.

2 years left on his deal there, so I cant see us spending big to bring him back. Maybe a 12 month loan with option?

Judging by the fact Moyes is getting rid of Doucoure and Harrison, he won’t be silly enough to waste any money on a bang average player.

He looked decent in a relegation zone Everton and Watford team , and poor in a top half team. That’s his level. One of the most overrated players I’ve ever seen.

Exactly this but did have an ace socials manager

Links to Dennis Cirkin lb sunderland with other clubs to.

There’s an unbelievable amount of talent in that Sunderland squad, I fear it may get picked apart if they’re not promoted this season. Cirkin may be pick of the bunch after Rigg. Even the guy on the other flank, Hume would be a great player to develop at right back. Pretty much all their midfield is coveted; Neil, Bellingham, Rigg. Every time I’ve seen them play I’ve been impressed with the young keeper too. Wouldn’t be surprised if people were sniffing around the striker too. I can only applaud their development/academy/scouting.

Would imagine there’s going to be a lot of interest in all of them. None will be cheap, even Neil who’s on a winding contract would be a tough deal to get over the line.

Cirkin would of been picked if he didn't have a tough year last year with injuries.

The step up to the PL is so hard, especially if you aren't coming in as an automatic starter (Jack Clarke was the best player in that league for 2 years)

The fact he was scoring double figures for crap attacking teams like us and Watford shows he isn’t bang average. Spurs have woefully misused him by signing him as a replacement for Kane as an out and out striker, which he isn’t. Do I think he was worth 60m, no, and don’t think that will have helped.

Also don’t think he is worth £40m to us now. But I would definitely have him back here in terms of what we know he can do.
