Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There’s a player in Hoijlund. Hasn’t worked under Amorim. I doubt we’d be interested anyway and doubt he’d even want to come, he’ll probably end up back at a top Serie A team, but he did have a period of decent form under Ten Hag which shows he could do it in the prem.

They just have a load of show-offs on the wings who want to beat four men and slot it into the top corner. If they actually passed to him he’d score a lot more.

No team players, only a bunch of kids so far up their own hype they can see daylight.

The right back position is an interesting one this summer.

I think Moyes will be happy to leave O'Brien in situ for the foreseeable.

Another season at RB I think does him the world of good, coupled with the fact Tarki is another year older which probably means he makes way for O'Brien at CB after next season.

The question is does Moyes keep one of Patterson,Young or Coleman...or does he legs all of them and brings in a whole new RB all together.

I’d be getting young and Coleman’s wages off the books and use them to pay the wages of a decent, young rb that is available most weeks and can improve

Patti? If we can sell him to help find that purchase id do it

Problem with buying from United is that their players are already on stupid wages so they are pretty much unsellable to non-CL sides - sort of like a supersized version of us under Moshiri where we couldn't sell underperforming players - only loan them.

I would too, I just don’t think we are going to be able to shift him without taking a massive loss

His book value will be low now. 12 mill wasn’t it in Jan 22? He’s prob got about 4-5 mill of book value left. The loss wouldn’t be that big if we flogged him for a few mill.

I’d rather rehabilitate him if we can but that’s the second manager in a row calling him out now.

Hojlund's stats are such that he rarely gets the ball. His movement and positioning are such that he's Haaland-lite but Amorim's system clearly isnt suiting him due to -- "show-offs" who want to have all the highlights.

I get taken in by Garnacho and Mainoo who I would love to see in blue. But they have nothing defensively...Mainoo wanders and Garnacho thinks he's Ronaldo.

With a structure behind him, which Moyes does tend to put in place...Hojlund could be a great centre forward.

Como Are using the same analytics as Brighton so not surprising they’re doing good business

Thelwell was linked several times...if only he had the money.

2 players who were both notoriously a roaring success here

Point being, Moyes is famed for 'in-depth' research and 'dithering' based on players character -- it's not the case.

The exception that proves the rule.
