I suspect a lot of them don't like him because of his association to their last previous, and this;

Yeah, I think the relegation loan clauses are also a popular stick to beat him with.

But if those clauses were the difference between signing players and not, I’m not sure I’d blame him.

I don’t have an opinion on him as a person but his cv and experience at arsenal, West Ham and Leeds does seem pretty ideal for where the club is at right now

Pound for pound commercially Leeds were brilliant when they were in the PL. It wasn't just down broadcast income but also commerical deals - deals with the likes of Adidas were brokered. And investment from the likes of the 49ers was found, See below:

Even in the Championship they managed to do the Red Bull deal which given Leeds context is really massive.

We need a bit of all the above when we are looking at naming rights, main shirt sponsors and ongoing commercial and kit deals in the future.

As for Kinnear its very hard to think that CEO wasn't a key figure in all of the above.

I read somewhere recently that his role at Arsenal was to maximise revenue from their new stadium, so I would guess yes. I also imagine that's one of the reasons for the Friedkins giving him the gig here.
