A better manager would have put an arm round Drenthe that day he picked the cup semi final squad and said: "Royston, I cant put you in the team after that stunt, but you're on the bench and you'll get on".

Moyes cost us. There insult a shadow of doubt about that.
Take a day off Davek! For your own health!

"Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment, that was known as Camelot."

72 points in one season....72 points.

Moyes is incapable of it.

I’m sorry, but you cannot start trying to set standards after bleating on about how being 1 point above the relegation zone was acceptable a few weeks ago.

“Look at the table”

:coffee:

There's no wind up about this. I am terrified about where we're going under Moyes here.

Because Dyche was willing to see reality: keep picking up points which we had on 11 of his last 14 matches here - and you creep your way to safety.

Moyes is coming in believing he can be more expansive. He's wrong. He's dangerously wrong.

Unless he has £60M / £70M to spend on creative players and attackers he better go back to the Dyche method of circling the wagons.

Like he did Cantona's?

SAF had a more nuanced approach to wayward talent than Sgt Maj Moyes.
He sold Stam over an autobiography
He sacked Keane for being critical of the club on their own in house channel
He gave Beckham a black eye with a flying football boot for saying the ‘f’ word too many times when they were losing to Arsenal

Oh My!!

He taught that defence how to pass to each other instead of hoofing it 70 yards as they were instructed to by Moyes. He also got Gareth Barry playing just ahead of it and he knitted it all up.

Let's not rewrite history. Martinez re-opened the school of science.

Are you saying a team with Baines, Coleman, Arteta, Pienaar, Mirallas, Barkley, Duelefou, Lukaku and Fernandez couldn't play football mate ?

I agree, he did.

But he also devalued this club and made us feel like 10 bob.

The two things can be true at the same time.
10 bob ha haaaa, at least ten bob is credit.if that’s what moyes did dyche made me feel like the players and fans all owed the club a small fortune the way he blamed fans the hard working people who still supported the team and payed to watch the dire excuse of football he served us. He devalued the Squad he picked saying they can’t score they’re not good enough Moyes has shown they’re better than dyche and his defend the point we start the game with.

Have you considered that just maybe Moyes was trying to manage a young player correctly and not let him get ahead of himself. Some people call it good man management.

United players trying to sell our new hope to themselves - quelle surprise!

The press - desperate to sell him to their favoured teams.

Shearer (player) and Robson (manager) at Newcastle at the time courting the signature of Rooney were hardly going to not big him up.

It's not rocket science.
If Newcastle were trying to buy him why would they big him up? Did they want to pay more?
Rooney wasn’t just a young player——He was an exceptional young player one who comes along once in a lifetime, I’ve seen quite a few very good young players come through Everton’s graduation system since I watching them in 1948 none of them were as good as Rooney, he didn’t have potential he was a ready made footballer at 16——Walter Smith was Everton’s manager when Wayne was fifteen and he said he would play him in the first team now if he could.
The press only three teams were mentioned who were interested in Wayne, Chelsea, Man.Unt.and Newcastle and Wayne was desperate to get away from Everton and so Newcastle were considered but once United came in that’s where he was going
United players saw how brilliant Rooney was they wanted him with them to improve their team.
I’ve got no answer for your rocket science bit.
