bottom corner section of North stand i think. We’re are the away fans getting put?.

I'd have been absolutely all good with £5.
I just think it's getting people into the ground and making them want to come early. I get your point, but Aintree is a one off, every year (really). Everton will be at home every other week 9 months of the year. The novelty just won't last.
Not trying to he negative, I just think it is a risky strategy.
That £6.20 price for a pie is a bit over the top, and if the rest of the stuff is priced in line with that I could see folks getting fed and watered elsewhere and not spending in the ground, so the club would miss out on cash. The way to go about really maxing the revenue would be in having plenty of events on top of our fixtures and maybe for these non Everton events up the regular prices. As well as concerts I`d like to see us go and line up some rugby matches, between autumn internationals and the later stages of the European cup, there`s a great shout to get full houses with folks drinking ale, no matter the price, before during and after the game. Put a premium on the price at these events and bring it down for the Everton games.
I can guarantee that the stadium and concourses will be rammed before games even with these prices, plus the food standard does seem to have risen dramatically as to what we have in Goodison (not that it would be hard).
Agree on the extra events making money, but the prices are indicative of any event/festival you would attend which is what I expected. It would be interesting to see the price comparison to Goodison once the final menus are confirmed, I’d expect it would be a 20% or more rise, similar to the season ticket prices.
These are just standard human observations. People will always find fault. But the bigger picture is we have a magnificent new home in an iconic location. That sometimes gets lost in discussions over the price of pies.A lot of it is complaining. The test events are to ensure all the safety compliance is met and everything works, not so that they can go and change the size of the concourses, or make the rows wider, or flip the standing and seating areas around, or rethink their entire catering strategy.
What time did they start letting people into the ground? Thinking on a regular match day, gates opening an hour and a half before match, the crowd might enter the stands a little more spaced out. Won`t make a difference when folks leave at the same time at the end, but you expect a bit of a build up of folks leaving the ground. But really impressed hy the stadium, it was as amazing as youd expected it to be.
I loved looking back from the lower and just seeing thousands overlooking, it's steep, everyone is getting a great view.
The facilities are fantastic, queues were 2 mins at a max for any food or drink, toilets were aplenty.
Thought the gangway to get into the stands were very, very tight. I appreciate they need to cater for those with disabilities, but thousands of people trying to squeeze through them could be a bit of a problem.
But the ground is fantastic. Doesnt feel like it's ours, and then they throw Spirit of the Blues on and was just brilliant.
There`s always at least one idiot.Felt so sorry for that poor lad who went to get the coffee![]()

My point wasn't that nobody should make observations or complain, it was that there has been a very noticeable change in the prevailing mood in this thread, from giddy excitement about the theoretical new stadium to a much more negative vibe now that it's actually happening. These are just standard human observations. Would look better draped with Banners imo
Just the usual cranks. My point wasn't that nobody should make observations or complain, it was that there has been a very noticeable change in the prevailing mood in this thread, from giddy excitement about the theoretical new stadium to a much more negative vibe now that it's actually happening.
Seen a number of people complain about the pricing of the food..
Honest question - what were you expecting?![]()
You could maybe temporarily change your username to barneygrumble during this period of test events?Perhaps I'm over analysing it.
My moan isn't necessarily the price, it's the trying to capitalise on getting fans in early and remaining after. So in that respect, I hope you're right.
Feel like all I'm doing is moaning, but the grounds great. Can't wait to get going now.
