New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yeah agreed, as I said my issues go to the person who gave up the tickets, not that Mr Drone accepted them. Which of course you would do. Most of the people around had tickets and if it appeared he was touting them outside, perhaps that could have landed him in hot water. It makes sense to give it to his friend group at that point.

there is no issue with Mr Drone but Everton fans have missed out mate, yeah the issue is with who ever gave them away but I would be equally critical of Everton fans taking seats away from Liverpool fans at a test event

A few salty articles from kopite media outlets today. Never mind the successful completion of a multi billion pound stadium, let’s run stories on how a Liverpool fan scored and some congestion at a train station. They absolutely hate that we have this.

Show me a stadium that is easily accessible on match days. Ever tried getting out of Wembley quickly? Ever tried driving anywhere near Old Trafford? How do you even get to Anfield from outside of Liverpool without multiple legs of the journey and a massive walk.

The usual moaning overreaction trying to detract from what is an absolutely brilliant achievement.
I thought he was only showing that he had 6 fingers on one hand like the rest of them.

I’m not sure what else people expected with the prices, it’s the best part of a billion pound stadium which if you ignore cup games and events will be open 19 times a season. They’re not going to be doing many offers on bevvys and scran.

The pricing is pretty much what you’d expect at any event like a concert or Aintree. I know people love a moan but surely you didn’t expect any different.
Yeah it is as expected there’s no way there about to sell at a discount it’s not how the world works. Reality is people will pay it anyway.

Can't remember the last time I was this excited about the future of the Football club.

We've earned this optimism.
Mate, I am the same: I have come away really enthused after last night. The upturn in form under Moyes and likely survival has probably helped as well.

I'm reading some of the negative nellies on here and want to give them a shake.

Gets more clicks than "Everton new stadium is boss"

I'd have been absolutely all good with £5.

I just think it's getting people into the ground and making them want to come early. I get your point, but Aintree is a one off, every year (really). Everton will be at home every other week 9 months of the year. The novelty just won't last.

Not trying to he negative, I just think it is a risky strategy.

Whereas other people would have gone. Watched the full game.

Only Everton by the way can have a test event and the club shop not be open and operational. A massive opportunity for ten thousand people to purchase goods. Even one off goods. If 2k bought £50’s worth of gear then that’s 100k. Just stupid at times.

Like a moan don't you? Jesus we've now got a world class stadium and you want every fan staying to watch kids football to the bitter cold end and, in the middle somewhere, open a pop up shop for the test event? Given the cost of the stadium the few grand the club might make.from retail isn't worth it (and even then would probably only be deferred spend). It's not their club that is looking stupid here.

I imagine they will have reduced drink prices before the game similar to other clubs.

Probably after the game aswell tbf, they'll be hoping thousands stay behind, more revenue and eases the transport after the match.
