Psr another season not squad ratio

Feels like most of the league are turkeys voting for Christmas.

Things like extra subs, and 5 subs etc. Benefits the top teams more than most.
I think this is a good analogy and it does suggest that strategic or some sort of voting in partnership is taking place for the benefit of the smaller clubs who perhaps gain in player exchange or some other parallel agreements.

The financial regs and the subs are a real double whammy imo.
I don’t particularly care for restricting a club from spending money (provided there’s protection from insolvency), because they could only play so many players, which should mean some decent ones left who want to play for the ‘poorer’ teams as they weren’t prepared to sit on the bench.
Now it’s getting to the point that they don’t have to and the city’s of this game can easily hoover up 24+ top top players because they know they’ll get to play.

So since we were first into the PSR nightmare and are therefore out of sync with a lot of clubs a season or two behind the peak of our problems, this summer could work to our advantage… right?

I mean, if it is true that we’re expecting to have headroom this summer.

We want more sellers in the league and fewer buyers.

As a club we have totally wasted the 5 subs

What an awesome way for a club like us to blood youngsters by giving them 5-10 minutes here and there by using the 5th sub slot

Yet we don’t even use all five subs most of the time

McGuire was on talksport earlier saying the Premier League have extended the PRS rules for next season because City have launched another appeal and see's it running for a long while.
Looks like a few clubs will be having to tighten their belts after spending and waiting for PRS to be scrapped.

Surely we are not in that boat .....Surely ?

There will be some clubs that need to get deals done before July. Think Newcastle, Villa and Man Utd were mentioned. Probably some more PSR swaps will get done.

Im not sure it is just the top teams, Bournemouth are making great use of it, and I can't imagine they are paying huge wages to players. Our problem is purely the spending on our wages and lack of recruitment scope has left us unable to find good players for decent fees and low wages. We are stuck with huge wages on players and every new guy asking for similar terms.
