We will go from being the worst financially run club to one of the best. After the past few years, most other clubs will have a bit of worry and catching up to do on us now.

Yeah wasnt sure if this would give us less to spend but well either way want us buy smart not just throw money around agaij

We (fans) don’t know enough to say if this is good or bad thing. We don’t know how much we can spend with PSR, nor how much we could have spent with SCR.

The fact they have to keep it for another year because of fannying about is the best part.
Guess new deals will be in this like the new shirt one maybe stadium naming but yeah not even surprised by it. Much like chelsea leicester getting around the rules whole thing is so badly run

In general, I think the current system encourages more spending than the % of revenue that were bandied about.

I suspect this ALSO means that its still optional to base it on 85% of your revenue. This season was supposed to be the transition year where you could either choose PSR, or 85% of revenue, next year mandating the 85%.

So then it shouldnt have any impact on us next season unless we get even more room using the PSR method. I assume the reason this was pushed back is too many teams felt they couldnt fit under the 85% yet? Seems a little strange.

Feels like most of the league are turkeys voting for Christmas.

Things like extra subs, and 5 subs etc. Benefits the top teams more than most.
Im still baffled how teams with smaller budgets were keen for the change to subs rules.
When you look at our bench over some recent seasons with two goalkeepers on it while the likes of city can field 5 fresh players who would walk into the line up of most premier leauge clubs. Its a huge advantage that plays into the richer clubs

Is it still possible to offset player spend on business and operating income etc?

I’ve never really looked and the differences or implications of PSR and FFP…. I know they relate to not making in excess of £105m in losses and breaking even over 3 years respectively but im unsure of the intricacies.
