Leicester were so bad today they made him look like Lukaku for the first 60 or so mins.

Will never be a world beater but he definitely has fair amount goals in him if used correctly. Hopefully he catches fire from now until the end of the season. Then we can weigh up what to do with him long-term.
I hope Beto isn't extra flamable, but I have full faith in Michael Keane van Basten should the worst transpire........

Beto will never ever hold the ball up for you. It's been getting said on here since he arrived, you need to play to his strengths. Him and DCL are very different players. Swapping them out and playing the same tactics was never going to work. Balls through the gaps, breaking the lines is his game, and he showed what he can do with it.

Have to be conscious though, that they are one of the worst teams I have ever had the misfortune of watching. By christ they were bad. Not a single redeeming feature of their game.

Also, Jamie Vardy, your bird is a grass.
I dunno I think he is actually fairly decent at holding the ball up when he needs to. There was one time in the first half he held the ball up till he got support to lay it off to. He fended off the defender easily while he was swiping at Beto trying to get the ball off him

Have said it for ages to people I know that Dyche was hindering the team and results by persisting with starting DCL every game without fail and only giving Beto 10-15 mins as a sub. Whilst I accept DCL is a better all round striker in terms of first touch and hold up play, Beto offers more threat in a lot of games and has clearly shown he would outscore DCL with ease if given the same number of starts.

Today we played to his strengths and he tooks his goals very well. We saw the best and worst of him in the 2nd half too where he sent Vestergaard flying, only to mess up his pass attempt to Ndiaye (I think it was). He needs a run of games to improve on his first touch and then he will be even more useful to us, but we have to play to his strengths.
