2024/25 David Moyes

Boss the way the argument falls apart when you hand-wave away the evidence.

Yes they would be talking about his time here obviously.

I’m all ears on the evidence if you can provide any?

The evidence I’ve seen is that his net spend over 11 seasons was around 6 million!!

And you wonder why it took him time to build a decent squad?

So yeah, there’s your evidence. But the numbers don’t lie as to why this may of happened.

2003 =1.5m
2004 = -20.2m
2005 = 25.1m
2006 = 4
2007 = 10.5m
2008 = 6.5m
2009 = -2.8m
2010 = -1.7m
2011 = -12.5
2012 = -4.8m

Total = 5.6m

I think I worked it out at 13m over 11 years when I looked into it many years ago.

All I know is I want Bielsaball, the most entertaining football I've ever watched. Pure chaos that can go brilliantly or terribly
I also know that would be an insane thing to bring in right now

Moyes is a good choice and once TFG's feet are under the table they can reassess if he's not progressing. If he's doing well then great. Nothing to lose by this appointment imo

So, given that our budget is limited here now is the best person for the job someone who will take a decade to improve it?

I don't think we are going to see these miraculous differences between him and Dyche.

I'm not convinced it is at all.

I'd have stomached it for six months. At no point when I was thinking "Who would I like to see helming the ship when we walk out at Bramley Moore as the first manager hired under these new owners? David "It's 2002 again" Moyes.
Dyche had given up
Players haven't even said goodbye to him
We were going down under him. Could you have stomached that?

It isn't 2002 again though is it? Since then he has managed other clubs and even won a trophy
Have you not changed in 23 years?

I think he's definitely an improvement. He's better than Dyche, Allardyce and Lampard.

But like you, I'd hoped we were closer to trying to kick on. We knew Dyche was gone in a few months and if fans are honest, if they were told David Moyes would be leading us into Bramley Moore they'd have been disappointed.

If we got to the summer, would people be saying get Moyes? If so, sound. I wouldn't have been.

I think we will Jake.

I suspect we do a bit of wheeling and dealing in the summer and people will claim its due to those signings.

But Moyes is night and day to the T-rex.

It's two totally different situations though, isn't it?

In the Summer you have pre-season, big transfer window, and everyone is starting on 0 points. Hire whoever the Hell you want then, go wild, go for a risk.

Right now, 20 games into the season, 1 point off the drop? Your decision making has to be totally different.

I can't argue with someone who can apparently read the future. I'll have to consult Mystic Meg to see if we were going to get relegated.

None of that means that the ONLY choice we should have considered is David Moyes.

Neither would I
but Dyche couldn't hold it together and allegedly didn't want to in the end
Maybe understandable when he knew he wasn't getting a new contract but that is why we changed mid season without many options and without a preseason

I wanted us to go a different direction but all things considered I'm happy enough with Moyes for now.
Doubt it will be 11 years again

I don’t think we’ll see miraculous differences either.

But I do think he’s a better & more capable manager than Dyche.

Which currently helps out situation
