David Moyes isn't the only manager on the planet that can avert relegation. I'm as happy as the next man that the East Midlands ginger stain is gone but replacing him with a marginally better dour and drab ginger is thoroughly disappointing. It also doesn't exactly scream "new owners, new Everton" either. This is straight from the Billy Liar playbook.
Like I said earlier , Moyes is the comfort blanket for Kenwright’s children.
Be a touch ironic if he is the manager who finally takes us down though.
Ask Sunderland about that .

It’s quite strange that you would throw all those stats at us and then relentlessly back Sean Dyche, I must say.
If you look at Moyes in relegation fights, he was successful at Everton, Sociedad and West Ham. And Sunderland was pretty much potless - they couldn't even afford to use their ice bath as it cost too much to run!

We never lost a derby by more than 3 goals under Moyes. We only lost by 3 goals twice in 11 years.

We lost by 4 goals twice in 3 years under his successor.
Haha
See this is what I mean
The Kenwright and Moyes acceptance of failure You are seeking justification in the relative scale of defeats 🤣
Defeat is defeat , failure is failure.
And after 11 years Moyes was.failure as an Everton manager .
I am old enough to remember when underdogs visited Goodison they didn’t own it .
