It's a comparatively good position, with players to return. Better than any of the last 3 seasons in my view, where we stayed up.

We have lost 1 game in 8. Unfortunately we are paying the penalty for a bad start, not the more recent games.

And by comparison, I am using the previous 3 seasons, where we didn't get relegated. Our position is better.
The way we play it looks like we are playing for penalties ( rather than paying the penalty, geddit?).

Ok I'll get my coat

We’ve won 2 in 12

We’ve lost 5 in 12

We’ve drawn 5 in 12

Whichever way you look at it, it’s grim. Especially with the fixtures we’ve had.

2nd lowest scorers, worst team in the league to watch.

We are 100% in danger.

A lot of that bad run relates to the first 4 games though doesn't it?

And we have played 6 of the top 11. I'm not sure the fixtures have been that easy.

I mean for the record Dyche was relegated once. In like 9 seasons. He's a very track record.

And we should always avoid complacency, but 1 defeat in 8 games, a very good defensive record with players returning puts us in a good position.
Oh come on - it was his team relegated a second time. Mike Jackson actually made a fist out of trying to save them and actually gave them a glimmer of hope.

Not sure about 1 defeat in 8 putting us in a good position - it depends on how strong that needed to be in terms of points haul heading into December and we will only know that once Decembers done and dusted.

The fact is, they didn't get relegated with Dyche at the helm. I think Dyche would have kept them up. Others disagree. That's fine, that's an opinion. The reality is, they weren't relegated under him.

All valid points. And the one that sticks out the most...

"worst team in the league to watch"

He was sacked after 30 games in a season that Burnley were relegated in. Who was relegated then? The fella who took over from him and had a far superior points per game record? There's lots of reasons to defend Dyche pretending Burnley's seconds relegation wasn't down to him isn't one of them.
