Ha ha ah well!! I'd keep him on bench then cos distin and heitinga we look more solid! Until 2day we hadn conceded at goodison in over 7 hrs play... Earlier in season with jags couldn keep clean sheet

That's officially blown my mind at 1:31am.

*thinks really hard if that means Jagielka is better than Neville at RB*

Nev's a better RB than Jags and I'd have even Lars Jacobson over Captain Highlights.

That's really all you need to know!

So was he injured and about to be subbed before he said he was ok to carry on?

Or was Moyes gonna pull a masterstroke of putting Jags in defence and Johnny into mid to push Cahill back up front and johnny was like "nah bollocks to that i;m staying where i am".

You really think that a player told the manager what to do ? Get a grip FFS. Love or loathe Moyes, he isn't having that.

You judging Jags on his appearences at RB in an Everton shirt though. That was in his early days and quite frankly he was poor wherever he played in his early days.

He played in the PL for Sheff Utd as midfielder, that earned him his move to Everton, when he played there for us he was poor Moyes never even considered him a 1st class PL CB until injuries took hold. When he settled though he excelled.

He's not the same player that struggled in midield and right back for us in 2007.

If he played right back he would be a defintite improvement over Neville, no question. Will Moyes drop Neville? No.

When Moyes resigns in the summer and Martin Jol is appointed, he'll play Jagielka at right back.

Heitinga should be captain...dealt with Drenthe pretty well!! Had a good game today, great header - shame he didnt score!!

when neville steps down i think heitinga would make a great captain for us. strong as an ox today again.

question for moyes is how do you fit him and jags into the defence if distin is fit and playing so well too ? move jags or heitinga to right back ? not for me .

perhaps moving heitinga into a center midfeild of 3 would work (allowing the fullbacks to get forward)?

..............howard
coleman jags distin baines
...rodwell heitinga fellaini
......drenthe......pienaar
................jelli

is this popcorn, or are you Moyes?

It's not like Distin is going to be able to keep his pace forever at his age. Eventually time will catch up with him and Jags can replace him. Heitinga should be our number one CB and hopefully future captain. For now Jags should be on the bench.

To be honest I don't think distin will be playing much longer, jagielka and heitinga will probably be at the back, with distin as back up..or we could always do 5 at the back!!

Annoying thing is as much as I like jagielka, I really want to see Duffy play

Should be captain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another good performance today

Anyone notice how the majority of his hoofs are good crosses which find an Everton player? Something you never see Jagielka or Distin do. His crosses are actually quite accurate

Haha this thread ate the loyalty meter thread. Anyway Johnny-boy on twitter a few mins ago:
