If you want Moyes out, would your opinion change if we won the cup?

Its still out for me cos even if he wins us a cup that will be forgotten very soon cos of his ****e style of football. Besides, I don't see how he can win us anything to be honest. You win cups through a hunger to win, not a hunger to ****ing defend all the time! FFS

Only two? Really? sexualchocolate mentioned Lambert and Rodgers already. What about O'Neil? I'm sure the list goes on...

Come on, make your mind up. Can't beat Liverpool cos of their money, but he just beat Spurs and all their.... money. Money busy you wins? Haven't seen Lbrpl win the league recently...

At least put up a decent fight McB, you're performing worse than Moyes on tues night...

And citeh.

Don't think they spent much though. Same with chelsea

I suppose I had a bit of a 'Damascus' experience on Tuesday night.

For years I thought we had the players, but they were being constrained by a negative manager who wasn't getting the best out of them.

Now I am starting to believe that they really are bog standard and Moyes IS getting the best out of them. Perhaps I have been deluding myself that Osman, Jagielka, Distin, Fellaini are top class when they aren't.

Like many I love little Royston, but is he really that good? Sometimes looks great but often couldn't beat an egg.

Marvin Gaye - great singer, but not really 'up to speed' is he. What about Seamus, Vellios, Peanut etc. Would Vic get a game at any other Prem club? Let's face it, the very best players ARE going to gravitate to where the money is.

I do NOT forgive Moyes for Tuesday. The fans who went should get their money reimbursed with an apology - but won't get either.

The forum constantly needs a Devils Advocate from all these knee jerking threads. When we win next he'll be our savior no doubt.

Lambert and Rogers though?

Really?

Anyway, I'll stick with what we've got until we get some money and Gus Hiddink.

I like McBain.

You guys can't get around the fact that he saved the club from an impending relegation threat. The team was capable of beating Liverpool only if they actually turned up and them not turning up is the players fault. Moyes might have used better tactics but what he put out was not completely hopeless.

The man made this team that you guys expect wins out of and he has made you expect wins from big teams.

He made your expectations too high people. That is all that is happening here.

Outclassed Redknapp??

We scraped a win at home against them! A good win sure but no outclassing involved.

I personally think Moyes doesnt get enough out of what he has at his disposal. He has built a decent squad no doubt and is in no way a bad manager or anything but every time he gets near to pushing us on he seems to mess it up.

He has had years to get us off to a good start to a season. There is a problem there that he hasnt fixed at all.

To be honest though I wouldnt care if he had won 4 European Cups in his time with us. He didnt care about a derby game. Thats enough for me to not want him.

Come on! And Double Come On! You want him to do better with less money and you wouldn;t car if he won 4 Champions league Titles???? Hahahaha what a Johnson.

There is nothing tactically special about what Moyes does, in a nutshell he gets lots of bodies behind the ball, hopes we nick a goal on the break and then batten down the hatches even more so if we take the lead - that’s it, that’s his only plan. You trying to tell me he's just behind Ferguson and Wenger tactically wise?????

What he has been good at (mostly) is bringing in decent players and maintaining a good team spirit at the club despite the financial constraints - as for the 75 million that they spent on new players, who cares about them or what they do? But seeing as though you brought it up, Henderson, carroll, downing and Adam would all struggle to get into our team, which is another infuriating aspect of Moyes, we had the eleven players to go out and beat them on Tuesday night but even if he had went with his strongest XI he still would have employed his negative bodies behind the ball approach, that’s what infuriates me most about moyes.

Tactically better manager who uses the players at his disposal to achieve the results he has - Lambert and Rodgers obviously, a handful of players from both of those clubs combined would stand a chance of getting into our first XI yet its us who play like Wimbledon.

'Did our ENTIRE TEAM cost anywhere near 75 MILLION POUNDS?' - again irrelevant and not the point I'm trying to make

We got beat after putting together an awesome run... oh he out classed Redknapp with all his money and players and ace league position...but that's not good enough.' - wouldn't be hard to outclass melted welly head but we'll not go there today, we set up not to lose so we are hard to beat so obviously its going to come off every now and again, big deal, is it worth having to suffer up looking at this tripe season after season? I'm not suggesting going all gung ho as we have to be realistic with the players and resources we have but a bit of balance wouldn't go amiss.

'Rant over, but who else you gonna get?' obviously we're not going to get one of the big boys but if Moyes was gone tomorrow I'd like to see Lambert stepping in

Were set up not to lose? I'm glad cold hard facts are irrelevant to your point. Henderson, Carroll, Downing and Adam would walk into our team pal! I remember Blackpool were Hot once too. Going back theres always a sexy Championship side coming in, mixing it for a season and then their straight back down again. Pinning our Hopes onto Moyes Version 2 could take another decade.

I doubt that mate. One Swallow does not make a Summer, and there always seems to be this forgetful, ungrateful attitude. I guess disposable accountability is the modern way, but it doesn't make it right. Moyes was not out on the Pitch. The players some of you have been clamoring to include were. And this is what happened. Moyes is celebrated for his abilities far and wide. He's respected for his attitude and his studious approach to the game. Former players alike have all praised the man's footballing brain and constantly being linked by media outlets to 'higher' positions at the so called 'Bigger Clubs' is possibly a media invention, but one that Moyes has earned with his diligence and professionalism.

I like McBain.

Common sense mate. Bigger picture type stuff.

Take yourselves back to Walter Smith, if you had been asked the question 'Who will we get to replace him' (I know the answers will come anyone would be better but go with me here) would anyone have said David Moyes!

The answer is obviously NO. But look at what we got from a complete top flight unknown, 10yrs of stability on a meagre budget, we are still in the top flight and are considered the best of the rest but we are going nowhere else fast.

Moyes has got to go, and no I don't have any idea where his replacement will come from or who he (or she, heaven forbid) will be, its not my job. What I do know is that we are currently wallowing in the sea of 'better the devil you know' well lets get out of this comfort zone and start pushing the club to find a replacement who will use the resources he has for the betterment of this fine football club.

Tuesday night was a 6" nail in the coffin of respectability, held in place by Moyes and hammered home by the ****e, it was a low point from which the only way is up. I just want to climb up with a Manager who understands and respects Everton Football Club. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, COYB.

You were spot on in the first two paragraphs, but the last two let me down.

I thought we were going to form a little posse in here with you me and Sanctioned.

I get the whole Kenwrong brigade, but the Moyes out brigade are doomed to relegation, not Titles and Cups.

Its a false hope you're got. Fools Gladly. We need cash. Not the same players and a new Manager.

Saying moyes out is so ****in stupid. There's no other manager that would do better with a chairman that struggles to get money to improve the club as a whole,no decent manager would come here, so we're better off stickin with moyes. We have been on a amazin run, we lose to Liverpool and everyone's flapping, if it was not for moyes comin in when he did we would not b in this devision, fact.

Nothing like stating facts to get your point across. oh wait!

Always negative! I believe he is a great manager and deserves more respect! I mean for god sake he's got us in the top half aint he?

The problem is, regardless of past achievements etc., you're defending a manager who has just thrown a Merseyside Derby. It's indefensible.

He's amongst the worst in the Premier League tactically, he's bottled it every single time on the big occasion (every start to the season, Bucharest, the list goes on) and rather than raise expectations, he's lowered them, to the point where a lot of Evertonians are convinced we'd be doomed without him.

It doesn't matter that we go on a run late in the campaign when the season is already dead. All that proves is that Moyes failed to make use of the personnel available to him when it mattered, and he can only get results when the pressure is off.

He's ruined every single striker he's ever managed. Good players too. Beattie, Johnson, Yakubu, Saha. And after seeing Jelavic dropped immediately after scoring a goal, that looks like it'll continue.

He's played players in positions they've never played before in their professional career (Rodwell right wing, Drenthe right wing, Anichebe left wing, Coleman left wing, Barkley right wing etc. etc. etc.)

The media fap over Moyes because, thanks to Kenwright, Everton are seen on par with West Brom in terms of prestige these days, so finishing in the top half is like winning the league.

His only shining light early on in his career here, his transfer nous, has gone out the window with awful signings like Bilyaletdinov.

But the worst, the absolute worst, is changing a defence that has gone nine games unbeaten for a derby. Unforgivably stupid.

You can wax lyrical about him all you want; beyond the facade built up by the media, the truth is there for inspection - he is a limited manager, with a record that is slightly better than Joe Royle, but he won the FA Cup.

What has HAS done is stop the rot with the club and took us away from relegation, but that doesn't justify unlimited support and insanely biased loyalty, because he's done nothing for three years. Absolutely nothing.

In short, we're as bad as the Kopites with Dalglish. Evertonians are so absorbed with the cult of Moyes that they fail to see that he really doesn't walk on water. "In Moyes We Trust" is every bit as cringeworthy as "King Kenny". There's no distinction.

I'm an Everton fan, and that means a fan of the club, not a person.

I think you will find that the Moyes 'critics' can voice their opinions without worrying about 'death threats' or 'excommunication'. That's a BIG distinction.

The basics of this thread are silly.

My opinion of Moyes may change if we won the cup.

But we're not going to win the cup.

So there.
