The waste in a way is Sad.

No one want to say it, but International teams cant attract the best manages anymore, to much money and profile in the club game.

Venables was the only one with a bit of innovation i can remember and they ran him out of town, maybe Robson.

Favorite for the next England Manager is Graham Potter - can see them doing it to.

Yes, Julian Nagelsmann wouldn't be short of offers in the club game. He's only 36. And Luciano Spalletti took the Italian job by leaving champions Napoli. But then, managing Germany and Italy is considered the ultimate honour in those countries and those countries do tend to produce top-notch coaches. I think part of the problem in England is there has been a loss of confidence in English coaching.

We are not yet producing coaches to the same level as Germany and Italy. But I think English coaches are improving at least so that situation might look better in a few years
