In other news, went out with Michele for lunch yesterday and she told me she's decided to go back to Rob when the daughter returns from her trip to Dubai on Monday. Must admit I'm a bit surprised by this as when I had coffee with Rob on Wednesday he was pretty downbeat about things. I think 2 weeks looking after himself has made him re-evaluate things. Hope it works out for them. It's in Rob's hands really.

Weather is still absolutely wild down here. It's sunny at the moment but in the last 48 hours we've had 70mph winds, torrential downpours and incredible hail storms. Bodmin Moor's had some snowfall too. Hopefully the weather will improve when Spring begins on Sunday (I know technically it began last week but I always see it as when the clock goes forward).

Anyway, catch up later with G&T Friday. ;)

Your friends sound like one of those couples who are forever falling out and getting back together. My brother was in a relationship like that with the mother of his children for years. I got to the point when I wasn't prepared to waste any more emotional energy on them.

Was going to give Barbie a watch but think I'll save it for another night. Just seen its a two tone/Specials/Terry Hall night on BBC 4 tonight. Not my favourite music of the era but still takes me back. Good memories.

I'm in the same camp "no pun intended", after a few beers at the pub Mrs J wants her vino , pizza and Monty while I will " make do" with some quality vinyl.and then even more nostalgia on TV.

Barbie's on hold until tomorrow

I used to really like 2 tone.

I was always much more into the Beat ( mirror in the bathroom) than the Specials.

Can vividly remember wearing a white Fred Perry and pair of strides or white shirt and thin black tie. Great days.

Funnily enough I've kicked off tonight with the wonderful Kick Inside, gotta love Kate

Used to love 2 tone too - a bit of a mod 😂. And Trojan - loved Trojan stuff.
