6 + 2 Point Deductions

That’s my fear in all of this. Another Everton first in being the team that took the entire system down but were destroyed in the process.

‘There can’t be another Everton’ as the Epitaph to our demise.
I think it will be changed although the current period will surely have to play out so it will come into play for the period after. So Chelsea won’t be saved if they have not sorted themselves out by end of June. Personally I think they will find a way. They still have a number of academy players who have value

Why couldn’t they get rid of any of these high value academy players in January?

'Todd, Todd, he's the man, if he can't do it...'

Personally, if I were a chelsea supporter, I wouldn't have any faith in Boehly to get it right.

But in any case, there was a significant lack of spending overall in this transfer window, which tells me that a lot of other clubs also have skeletons in their closet.

Everyone seems to be treading lightly.

Lot of waffle from 'experts' on Chelsea failing the best ffp round. If the prem maintain our deduction is fair then it looks like they will have to deduct Chelsea far more points based on that template. The only way for the prem to avoid having to use that template on more powerful clubs is to give us at least the 4 points back that was based on level of overspend.

They’ll just cancel it all before it ever gets round to giving a sky six side a points deduction

It’s becoming less and less of a sport mate.
At this point I dont even want to play Football Manager any more.

But they aren't everton so they won't get any deductions. Same with any other club. The rules clearly state "only if Everton breach any rules, unfair penalties will be placed against them, and them alone. Everton also should never receive a penalty again".
Not sure why the discussion is still going on. Thems the rules in black and white

I see what you are saying. There were no buyers in Jan so why should that position change before the end of June. I suspect they will be able to sell a Gallagher for example before the end of June for a discounted fee to a Spurs who won’t have any PSR issues. Would not be surprised to see Boehly exploit his relationship with Saudi as well.

This is the only way I could see them getting around it. But it seems it isn’t as easy to boot players to Saudi Arabia anymore, look at Almiron at Newcastle. Players seem to be waking up to the reality of actually having to go and live and play over there, and seeing more than just the pound signs in their eyes.

I concur. Who can forget when Oumar Niasse received a retrospective ban for alleged simulation after he was pushed in the penalty area against palace. Remains the only PL player to my knowledge to have this kind of action taken against them. Always Everton

"Scab 6" and then says this bs at the end. Laughable.

The ESL will happen at some stage, the question is do you want Everton to take advantage of the transition (something we failed to do with the PL) or be a late comer to the party ?

UEFA have made their own bed - when Man City, PSG, Chelsea & Monaco were building top sides they appeased their old boys network of Real, Barca, Bayern, Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal, Juve etc by bringing in FFP to try and pull up the ladder and stop even more clubs from being bought out by rich playboys and competing.

What UEFA didn't expect to happen was that the old boys Cartel who they have done nothing but try and appease have become more and more greedy and are now threatening to walk away for more money elswhere.
