Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I’m very much a creature of habit so the menu this year is the same as the last few!

Blinis with salmon mousse for brekkie, then traditional turkey and trimmings for dinner.

Prep will take place over Saturday and Sunday for the most part, so brace yourselves for the usual, increasingly drunken food posts.

Hope everyone else’s prep is coming along nicely. Wrapped all the missus’s presents up last night so feeling suitably smug, though still got loads to do for the kids.
Part of Christmas on GOT.

Beautiful sky this afternoon. Nacreous clouds apparently, first time I‘ve ever seen the like.

It is beautiful. My granddaughter and I always look to the sky as I take her home. She understands where the weather is coming from, what it may bring and loves to see a beautiful sky. It’s one of those moments that should be shared with a grandchild……

Really?

I just might take you up on that Anj - plenty to eat and drink as long as it's veggie and red wine.

Do you think you could stick 2 weeks with mum with it either doing your head in or you coming to blows lol .

Happily Mrs Js sister will stay if necessary but doesn't drive so we've arranged various "taxi" drivers for her .

Hopefully none of this will be necessary!
Granny and I would be fine. We can bond over Susie the kitty. 🤣

Morning everyone,

Tough love from Mrs J on my birthday so far!

After Rosie decided to gouge the newly painted skirting board and door frame in the kitchen I was up at 6am repairing the damage with wood filler and sandpaper before I re paint later ahead of our visitors.

I was up so thought , might as well breakfast!

Ah well , bit of painting and repair a fence damaged by the wind yesterday before we nip out for lunch.

Have a lovely day everyone.
