So away from all of rumors and supposition, what are 777 doing / have down that makes them so terrible?
I’ve seen the drug stuff re the head honcho (which I believe he said was from several year ago during his collage years), I’ve seen the protest banners in Belgium (but don’t know why they’re protesting) I’ve seen the clubs that have been relegated soon after they were purchased (but not sure how that’s 777’s fault)
Genuine question from someone who doesn’t know any real reasons to be concerned about this if it’s true?

I have a fundamental (if unfounded) fear of all US ‘investor’ motives and am i bit wary of these quotes about ‘hyper commercialization’ but am uneducated in the reality of this mob.

There are basically 4 issues here:

1) We'll be owned purely as an investment from here on in. No one with any knowledge of this club and what forms its identity or history has any involvement with 777. Decisions will be made for the benefit of 777 and those funding them and those interests may not align with ours.

2) Their on and off pitch track record elsewhere really isn't inspiring. Continuing to exist and hold premier league revenue streams will likely be the sum total of on field ambitions from here on in. This was probably the reality anyway but it becomes explicit now. 777 don't have the resources for any other future to be possible.

3) Given our on field prospects aren't exactly stellar the root of this investment has to be the stadium, which raises the prospect of it being separated from the club at some stage; and

4) They look and smell highly dubious

But even with all that written out, they still seem a safer bet than Moshiri.

What an absolute disaster we have become.

Lads and lasses,
I need to be very careful what I say here for confidentiality.
A friend of mine( kopite) works for Deloitte and 777 are one of his clients.
He has just provided me with some reassuring words after me going into a meltdown.
When I questioned their funds he said without doubt they will have co investor.
That’s as much as I can probably say on the matter.
777 and Blue Bill partnerships 🤦‍♂️

ok other than being called 777 what do you think they will bring? look at there other clubs they’re all floundering
I don't know exactly what they will bring and they will need to outline it all in due course. I will judge them on what they do, not what they say, and not what the initial perceptions are.

They appear to buy stakes in struggling clubs so the truth is that we will only be able to tell how succesful they have been after a few years. For example, Hertha are struggling but they've only been involved since the spring. Where they are in 2 years will tell us much more.

And yes some of the comments about the commercialisation of fans have been totally ridiculous and clearly I don't support those comments or ideas. But this is a big enough club, with a vocal enough fan base and strong enough traditions, to push back strongly on any attempts to impose things at this club which are not acceptable to the wider Everton community.

This is the biggest club they will own, and they will quickly realise how they need to align their values and objectives with the values and traditions of the fan base and the local area. If they fail to do that, they won't be successful. There is huge potential at this club if the right people come along. Despite how down I am about Everton right now, I still firmly believe that. It's up to new owners to improve every area of the club, both on the pitch and especially the business side. If they can get everyone pulling in the same direction, we have a chance of this working.

What do you suggest mate? Going to Monaco and storming Moshiri’s yacht?

He’s got no intention of showing his face around here ever again.

Like he gives a crap if we start smashing stuff up.
777 needs to know they aren’t welcome. We protested a board that was given literally no money to operate, but we shrug our shoulders at the real threat.

Hope they wheel out some Hollywood A-lister that has provided funds for their investment and is willing to overlook their dubious reputation. Take a bit of the dodgy PR stench away from this and add a bit of glitter. Stallone would be hilarious.

Rocky vs Bellew fight to open BMD, I’m going.

Do one. dont wee down our backs and tell us its raining:

Moshiri said in a statement: "The nature of ownership and financing of top football clubs has changed immeasurably since I first invested in Everton over seven years ago.

"The days of an owner/benefactor are seemingly out of reach for most, and the biggest clubs are now typically owned by well-resourced private equity firms, specialist sports investors or state-backed companies and funds."

"I have been open about the need to bring in new investment and complete the financing for our iconic new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, on the banks of the Mersey, which I have predominantly financed to date," said Moshiri.

"I have spoken to a number of parties and considered some strong potential opportunities. However, it is through my lengthy discussions with 777 that I believe they are the best partners to take our great club forward, with all the benefits of their multi-club investment model."

777 founder Josh Wander said: "We are truly humbled by the opportunity to become part of the Everton family as custodians of the club, and consider it a privilege to be able to build on its proud heritage and values.

"Our primary objective is to work with fans and stakeholders to develop the sporting and commercial infrastructure for the men's and women's teams that will deliver results for future generations of Everton supporters."

"We are committed to partnering with the local community over the long term, working on important projects such as the development of Bramley-Moore Dock as a world-class stadium venue, allowing thousands more Evertonians to attend our home matches and contribute to the economic and cultural regeneration of Merseyside."
