Totally agree, gives me some hope that (assuming we can't get rid of him) he can actually play a useful role as a second striker. Obviously not equipped to lead the line but he could be good in a 2

I do worry that his physicality might see a few refs treating him unfairly.

Literally when he came back at the end of last season. DCL didn't get to play against the lowest team in the football league either. Let's not get carried away here.

DCL is a classic example of players getting better when they don't play.
4 goals in 2 years (excluding penalties).
And whilst he does contribute in other ways to the team performance, he is our centre forward, in a team that struggles to find goals from any other position.
I predict that he will struggle to become a first team regular again.

I already love Beto. It's a scary thought that Che Adams was almost signed instead. Sliding doors moment right there. Almost signed another gash proven failed striker in the Premier League or the man mountain Beto.
