Thats funny that because Spurs played 4-5-1 and Modric and Parker were involved defensively as was Lennon whenever Baines was getting forward.

Yet no one was having a go at Creaseface.

...

Not only that but Adebeyor was coming right in order to try and overwhelm the right at times.

There was lots of tactical dragging of players out of position, VDV trying to arrive late into the box from a CF/AM position.

The difference was, Spurs had spent over a £100million and it showed in part.

They even brought on a former EFC player of the season FFS ! AS A SUBSTITUTION !!!!

Parker didn't play mate and neither do spurs or any other team defend so desperately like we do. Spurs also spent highly last season, as it did city but we beat them both having done a double over the latter. We won at goodisson 2-1 after going behind and we attacked!

Now, we just defend all day like losers.

Poor Billy, wasted under Moyes

'wasted under Moyes' just means that he only got games in patches, not enough to build confidence, and played out of position.

The £500k upfront fee blows out of the water the argument used earlier in the thread that we are using up most of our transfer budget on this. At that price we've nothing to lose.

Striker next please.

Fair play. If that's all we're paying now then I can get behind this.

You would find it funny, given you've spent the past three weeks in misery continuing facing accusations of racial abuse being sanctioned at your lovely club.

Anything is better than being an awful racist at the RS.

Give it a rest moon head

500K. Leaving Moyes with 3-4mill for a decent stiker.
Sweet baby infant Jesus

Just to help set expectations, if there is a decent striker available for £3/4m then every man and his dog will be after him, and we probably won't be able to compete with the likes of QPR on salary.

At that price you're looking at someone approaching the end of their contract (and unwanted elsewhere) or a lower league/overseas player (and therefore unproven). This is the reason that Ba was a chance in a million. I'm going to look through the contract lists and see who may be on the market later; it won't be a pretty list though.

Saha is being played everygame and has scored once all season. Hard to find worse than what we are feilding, since Vellios has mysteriously transported to another universe.
But even then i still agree, finding a worthwhile one will be hard, but have some faith.

Well he is another body in the squad. He will also be preferably to Bilya - who has just lost any interest and is not suitable for the PL. My concern is that when Barkley is available again he will be further from the starting 11.

I'm on that list. I expect to hear from Moyes later

Billy has had opportunities , he's just not suited to prem league whatsoever!

Gibson can certainly score a good goal. He looks a bit more attacking than I thought.
