Easy to be a fan when the goings good.

and it's not been easy being a fan at cold wet winter away days at wimbledon, southampton, norwich, ipswich, newcastle, etc. It wasn't easy being a fan during the never won a thing before or after the 80's trophy collections. It wasn't easy being a fan when i was made redundant and was skint. Walking to and from goodison cos i couldn't afford bus fares. How dare you presume to know what kind of fan i am.

stopping going to games for financial reasons is one thing, chcuking it in because the football is crap is another. Campaign, protest before or after the game but empty seats and booing are hardly going to help matters.

Don't you go to the football for entertainment, something you do in your own time?.

yes, but it's more than that. I t is difficult for me to judge properly as I live down South now. I generally go to a couple of away games in London and a home game once or twice a year.

The point I'm trying to make is that the club is in a rut, the players seem to have lost motivation probably as they know the most we have to look forward to is mid table boredom and maybe a half decent cup run.

A half empty stadium is hardly going to raise morale is it?

Precisely my point.

I go to every home cup game regardless of opposition and have a season ticket. Try to get to Wigan away if I can. Past that, I can't afford aways but if I could I'd go to every one without a second thought.

Where do I fall in this foreigner-johnny-come-rarely category?

I would say its the opposite, its the clubs duty to entertain the fans, as football is an entertainment. in any other entertainment industry you wouldn't keep turning up if something was toatal dross. so why should we.

you say you go to a couple of games, if you was going every home game this season, i am sure we would be agreeing now.

I think your just great.

Iv been going the game Since my dad took me when i was 5. Now at the age of 32 iv been everywhere, followed us through think an thin. But the way i feel, im close to ****ing it off.

I suppose it's as much to do with overtime at work. Every time i go the match i have to turn a full weekend at work down. It's just not worth it at the moment.

Im taking the little'un on sat an im going to Spurs on Wed, but thats it i think. If we keep selling and not replacing im not going till Kenwrong an Moyes are gone.

make no bones there both to blame for this mess. Moyes is happy to say fook all an sit on his huge wage. He's keeps backing that piece of **** who's killing our club.

And Kenwrong and the board have squeezed THE LIFE OUT OF OUR CLUB. They've sold everything all our assets and our income for the foreseeable future and now want £150m for a club not worth £50m.

The most disappointing thing for me is the fans. We some of them anyway, who sit round and our happy to see all this happen. The give excuses after excuses on why this is all ok. Wake the **** up, your as bad as the board.

TIME TO FIGHT!!!!!

I will go to the marches an meetings. But not the game.

I love you Everton. NILSATIS NISIOPTIMUM, some day some of our so called fans might understand what this means.

Well said I feel the same way you do, I unfortunatkey am living in South Africa and when they dont show the game live I stay up till like 2-3am to watch the game. I have stopped doing that and so sad to say that im losing interest in the club.

Im 35 years old and have supported Everton since I was 5 as well (just in case anybody is wondering how long i've been a supporter) but the way we are heading is down hill.

I will always love this club but until things change in a positive direction I cant see me watching games or buying any memorabilia any longer.

I'm in agreement with this really. The other factor to consider is locality...if football were simply a battle to get customers in by being entertaining everyone would just support the best teams (wait what??? ;p ), but people from near the club also choose to support the local club. Then there's exceptions who are from around the world like some of the guys on here who choose to support Everton, I've no problem with it, I imagine they are bound by a certain set of idiosyncracies...

lots don't/can't go for many different reasons, when a lot of these things combine it really is testing.

In this day and age people can't turn work down, having a decent paid job is a luxury at the moment and the chance of earning extra can't be sniffed at.

Plus watching us like we are is leaving everyone frustrated, and that can start impacting on home life.

Life is a long way from a bed of roses at the moment with the way things are, and it doesn't help when looking back at the season so far & we have only won through luck.
