So this just affects us.
Strange take. I'd suggest it affects Newcastle a bit more
God, obviously. This is an Everton forum. I'm thinking about that this game effects us as well.

To be fair the decision that helped Newcastle beat Wolves helped us, and that was a shocker too. The system is just broken and feels like it's getting worse.
If we stay up and they stay up, I’ll feel that they will have some trouble next season.I am so done with Forest. Genuinely the jammiest team going.
Good takeI'll settle for a draw here.
Forest are doing nothing on the road, so every time they fail to win at home they are slipping ever-closer to peril.
Ya. It does. But I don't think a decision taking in a game we aren't playing by var does so solely with us in mind.God, obviously. This is an Everton forum. I'm thinking about that this game effects us as well.
Massively….Newcastle are toilet brush.

Exactly - a game like this, with a team going for CL and one battling relegation, this result is worth potentially tens of millions to each club, not to mention the billions probably riding on this on global betting markets. And you have decisions being made on a basis no-one really understands by people you can't see, and even if there is no corruption whatsoever it leaves it so much more open to that suspicion. There is no doubt that VAR is now just a tool for the football authorities to control the narrative.
Given the money in the game, the incentive is definitely there for nefarious practice. I am not saying this is what is actively happening in every VAR booth - it isn't. But given the ludicrousness of VAR since its introduction, I have no doubt that FIFA, at the very least, see it as a tool for "drama" and "suspense".
I find that I can no longer spontaneously cheer a goal now as I fear it will be immediately subject to a VAR check and I will be subject to impotent fury and disappointment. A passion killer.
