I think if we can take 3+ points from the next 3 games we will very comfortably stay up. All three teams, if we go a goal up, have a good chance of having their fans get on their backs, especially Chelsea and United at their respective grounds. Don't let Richarlison come back to haunt us as it's all set up for his first Premier League goals as a Spurs player to come at Goodison, isn't it?

Need to take at least 3 points from our next 3 games. Ideally 4 if we can manage a draw away to Chelsea or united. A win away would be a dream.

Just looking at the remaining fixtures for other teams. After the international break, Palace will have 10 games remaining. Interestingly, 8 of these games are against every other team below them in the relegation battle (5 home, 3 away). They literally have to play everyone of their relegation rivals in the run-in. Their other games post international break are Spurs and Fulham away.

If they don’t pull themselves clear in their 2 games this week (away to Brighton and Arsenal), they really could be sucked right into it.

We do have a very good record against Arsenal at Goodison. These next 3 we don’t. Even a poor, average Spurs team always get something at our place.

I think just being out of the zone currently will give the lads a lot of confidence. It’s worse when you’re in it and you win and still in it, proper demoralising.

I think this is a really important point too. I also think it lifts an awful lot of pressure as well, which helps players relax and hopefully not snatch at chances as much.

It's a horrible feeling knowing if you dont win a game, you cause yourself to likely go down. A lot fold under that pressure.

But you get my point, this Arsenal team are way better. I seem to remember beating Spurs home and away in the last couple of seasons. I know our record isnt great, but Spurs are not at Arsenals level currently and I'm not even sure if they are as tough as Brentford.

Agreed. Spurs is winnable . But we will need to be very good defensively

Most of them are playing each other though?

I mean Forest go to Leeds and win and suddenly they're on 29 points so suddenly they can see 6-7 points from the Wolves, Southampton, Brighton home games. Then played out a draw at Palace on the last day to make sure.

Of course Leeds could win that instead and who's to say they won't go to Wolves at the weekend and win that given they did last season. Suddenly they'd be on 29 points themselves.

I think the winner of Southampton-Bournemouth will have the momentum to get what they need in the run in.

Looking at some of the games coming up in next few weeks I think it's pretty unlikely the team will be outside bottom 3 after the Man. United game. I'd be pleasantly surprised anyway. What hopefully won't happen is team on 26 points and bottom of the table otherwise the pressure is just going to be insane going into the Fulham match although seems in last 12 months the club actually responds well to last chances and gets wins that way.

It's my speculation based on the last 6 or 7 weeks form. There could be differences for Leeds now (in a good way for them) with Rodrigo back for them; on the other hand there could be bad differences for Forest if Johnson is out for a lengthy period. As for S'ton: they showed for me how weak they are on Sunday when they had 10 men to get past for an hour and couldn't manage it. If Ward-Prowse doesn't score then they tend to do badly. They are massively over-reliant on him and his free kicks. I'd count them down if they cant get past Brentford tonight. Bournemouth are a funny one. The reason I favour them to go down (and us to stay up over them) is that they've taken 8 points from the last 30 on offer...and that includes the relative good run of form over the last few weeks. O'Neill isn;lt getting anymore out of them IMO, whereas Dyche has us settled and into a pattern of play that's yielded half the points we've had to play for. Leeds and Leicester will also have to move heaven and earth to overturn their last 10 game form of 7 points each from 30.

I just dont see more than two of those five teams clicking into form that gets them half the points on offer until the end of the season that keeps them up. That seems improbable to me. We can do that or get very near to that. That's what the evidence suggests so far under Dyche. And if we do then we're safe.

I doubt anyone expected anything v Arsenal either mate. A couple of draws would be decent, and you never know. We have been playing well, as a top 8 side would be, so we might just surprise someone.

You're right though, we dont want to lose all 3. This next run is a nightmare 3 games. The closing 8 is then the easiest run in on paper. So as long as we are in touching distance of teams above us after these 3 games, we have a really good chance of staying up.

If we're on 28 points going into the Fulham game with these next three out the way, I'd say we stand 70% chance of staying up.

I just cant see us not picking up 10 or 11 points from the last 8 games. (In fact, if City have all but lost the title to Arsenal by then I'd back us to do City who have bigger fish to fry).

Three points from the next 3 games and we're fine. Four would cement it.

I didn’t even think of this. I’m mentally preparing myself now so it doesn’t come as a surprise.

We have been creating chances under Dyche. I think we will get at least 3 points from the next 3. Chelsea aren’t anything too special and if we go up a goal on them they are going to collapse mentally.

id have palace in the mix there, i just don't rate Viera, don't think he has it in him to get an upturn in form...
