Very high chance of doing so and probably wishing they had gone for Dyche themselves.
That is an interesting point. From a Palace perspective I’m glad we stuck with Vieira. We have a squad of pretty good players, a number of whom are young, and will improve with experience. We lack a bit of experience and snide but that will come. We are a work in progress and will improve. Relegation (which is possible) would derail that.
Everton have a very decent chance of staying up now precisely because of Dyche and his style of play. You have a squad capable of implementing his style and that (imo) will be enough.
That’s it though. Stick with Dyche and the Dyche way and you will be permanently a bottom half side occasionally on the fringe of the drop. Compared to Palace, I don’t think you are a work in progress and without wholesale changes, that is a way off. But definitely staying up imo.

Not to necessarily lose by a defecit of 0-6
Arsenal just won by 3 today and united got 7 past them. Agree i was not happy that we just give up the fight in them games. But i am happy that atleast the team has bounced back from the defeats
Question: if you support one of the other 8 clubs in this dog fight how would you appraise Everton's chances of staying up?
Spoke to wolves fan said he think we will be fine, think with dyche has been at this position before has given the squad more fight to stay up. I do think palace will be close is hard to get out of a run without getting results, looking at them seems to be similar to us with lampard they do have a better squad just dont think viera will keep them up.

Dont agree with that i think the team is a work in progress we have players like onana garner patterson braithwait all hopefully coming into the team. Then hopefully adding more to this team in the summer window we will be in a better place. Agree you have alot of good attacking players i just think zaha going will be aa massive loss for you then with others maybe getting looked at aswell is how you replace them

Surley someone more clever than me can work out how many points the bottom teams can get to, due to so many teams playing eachother they cant all get 35+ points can they?
Yes because that’s are so many games left, there are so many possible permutations. That kind of maths only kicks in with 3-4 to go

Also do not agree with saying dyche will keep us always near the bottom, you can not say what he is planning to build at everton atm as we do not have the squad for him to change it by much, i so think he will get us playing simple football but other teams leicester and west ham in recent seasons have ahown what that can do in this league. I am still worried this season but if we stay up i am more positive that next season tou would see a far better team on and off the pitch with also the changes at board level

Yes, you have to add, which was what I said (or at least implied). I think Dyche is terrific at what he does but don’t think his style of play is suited to (say) getting Everton to a top 6 place.
Zaha won’t be the big miss everyone outside Palace thinks. He is 30 now, he is already not what he was. Sure, he will need to be replace carefully but the “Palace are ****ed without Zaha” is a myth.

My hope is that after surviving this season that Dyche will lead us to a couple of ‘boring’ mid table years. I think he might actually surprise people as well with a more expressive style of play once he gets his own players in but time will tell.

Palace will be fine for me. A good young team as you say and their run in is fairly kind.

Yes mate. If he changes the squad and the style of play, then you would improve. I said that as well. I’ll be really pleased if that happens.

It's a good thing we did.
Remember they all have a game in hand on us.
On evening things up we could well be in 19th place.

I understand what you’re saying, but you have to remember that the 5 teams below us have had poor form for most of the season, like us, and whilst it’s feasible that maybe 2 or 3 of them might win that game in hand, it’s unlikely all of them will.
I think everyone from Palace in 12th down are still in it. All we can do is keep winning and picking up points.

Looking at the form guide I would say; Palace, Leicester and Forrest have been the worst at the moment, Palace have not won since December, Leicester have lost the last 4 games in a row and Forrest have no wins in the last 5

Interesting that Leeds play Forest, Wolves and Palace in the next 4 matches. Will be tough to know who to cheer for…

I think mathematically it’s probably bad when relegation rivals play each other, as combined the teams will take either 2 or 3 points (1-1.5ppg, which is more than their average)
