We’ve beaten top of the league at home and taken a point at City and that was even under Lampard. We’re capable of getting points in every single game regardless of who the opposition is. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t get anything out of the next three. We can certainly beat Spurs at Goodison and other teams have gone to Stamford Bridge and caused problems.

The league is so compressed this season. There's no 'levels' at all. Yes, there's a small gap between the relegation lot and Villa, but for the most part it's a very gradual affair. The league is flattened out. Those next three fixtures look daunting, but none of those opponents can be said to be consistent and I wouldn't be surprised at any of the bottom nine going up against them and getting points.

I'd be happy enough with four points from the nine, and I think that's very doable.

With nine teams in the relegation battle it is impossible to look too far ahead in trying to predict what will or won’t happen between now and the end of the season. For the sake of sanity I would recommend just taking each game as it comes and at the end of the season we will either be safe or not. With Dyche coming in at least we have a chance

Cant be having the "we're getting no points from our next 3 games" shouts.
Who would've thought Bournemouth would've taken 3 off the scum yesterday, same with Southampton Chelsea fortnight ago, or more importantly us at home to the league leaders last month.
We might lose all three but I bet Chelsea, Spurs and United will be looking at us under Dyche as a tough tough fixture, especially compared to the roll over and get your tummy tickled Lampard side.
I'd take 3pts tbh but would hope for 4 and keep moving forward.

I've a feeling it will take 37/38 minimum to get 17th
Yeah I Think you’d be safe with 37 , by how much I’m not sure .

However In the last couple of weeks relegation threatened teams have beaten arsenal , Chelsea , spurs and the RS so who knows how it’ll play out .

There are just Too many teams involved to accurately guess what happens , normally you’ve got one team that’s dead and one looking all but Gone but everyone is in there .

If Leeds Southampton or Forest were playing Spurs at home there’d be no end of people on here saying how they’d definitely get something. Everton with a very strong home record under Dyche apparently have no chance though.

We’ve gone from being firmly in a bottom three with Southampton and Bournemouth with no real route to winning games, to now being one of 9 teams right in the same mess except now we’re the team with a strong home record, good at set pieces, and can get something away on the counter. I’m hoping in a few weeks time we’re starting to edge into that group that is just above the drop zone with a slight gap forming as some other teams go into a complete tail spin.

I think Leicester and West Ham are both looking very poor at the moment and don’t have long left to decide on a new manager roll of the dice. Leeds haven’t looked much better tor getting a new manager in. I’m not sure I’d want to swap our position for any of these. Bournemouth and Southampton winning a few games has been annoying but we’re right where we could have reasonably expected to be on our roadmap to safety. It would have been nice to have a few extra points from the Villa game but probably evened out by the unexpected ones from the Arsenal win. If we keep up this level to the end of the season we stay up no doubt in my mind.

Surley someone more clever than me can work out how many points the bottom teams can get to, due to so many teams playing eachother they cant all get 35+ points can they?

You're spot on saying that you wouldn't want to swap places with any of the other relegation candidates. That's the way I feel.

I see a team with its own identity and which clearly carries out the manager's game plan and has a good balance about it between defence and attack. And we're in the process of retaining a settled team. If I was a fan of one of those other clubs looking on from outside I'd be very concerned at how together Dyche has got Everton in such a short space of time.

Other clubs down there have got their individuals who can swing a game their way, but give me a team all pulling in the same direction for each and every game. We know our limitations and what we have to do to minimize that and we play to our strengths.
