Trouble with the other 4-5 is I can see Leeds, Leicester, Wolves and West Ham all comfortably getting to 35-36 points now.

It's a very big ask for this team to get there based on wins at Goodison alone with the six home fixtures left. I'm expecting defeats v Man. City, Spurs and possibly Newcastle.

And stats show this team has very little when it goes a goal down so that's a massive problem in away games where team is more likely to concede first.

Arsenal away is all about GD protection for me and then have to go all out to win at Forest to really drag them back into it.
Don't agree with Leeds anyway . Or maybe wolves either. Forest game is huge of course

Been saying it for the last two months. We are going down. Our only chance of staying up was the January window. We failed to bring anyone in for what ever the reason was. That was the nail in the coffin.
We have the right manager imo for where we are as a club. If we can keep a few players from this team, we should come back up. But this is Everton so you never know what can happen.
I don’t think we come back up mate, if your top scorer is on 3 going into March, there’s something seriously seriously wrong.

We have a crap squad and are playing % football whereby you are hoping for a break or relying on goals from crosses/set pieces

A perfectly valid tactic for a doomed team at the bottom. However our % chances of scoring whilst playing this % football are considerably lessened by not having any goal threat

I still think we are done and dusted. today I expected a standard weak Everton performance and a loss but actually got a decent battling performance and a loss

So I think regardless of change of manager we are guaranteed a number of standard weak performances before end of season and a return of no more than a couple of points from those... However today for me says that our return from the games where we do battle and compete will also be lower than some might expect

This isn't going to be pretty. i hope at least we get to see the chairman out the door as a bit of light in the darkness

Leeds got Forest, Leicester, Palace home, West Ham, Bournemouth away so think they will win a couple of those. And if they don't then that will likely mean teams like Forest or Bournemouth will get three points perhaps.

Think Wolves will finish 12th-13th pretty comfortably as they will grind out a few more 1-1s and 1-0s. They did sign some decent attackers in January so that will be the difference trying to catch up with them.

I think the evidence suggests our lack of goals is down to ability and not luck. A team with good forwards converts that pressure into at least 1 goal. This is our level.

Simms and Maupay have slotted before and while I agree ability is what you need to be a consistent 10-15 and upwards goalscoring striker a season, anyone can have a purple patch. These boys can finish when the pressure is off, we see it in training and this is where the luck part comes into play. Keep making chances and law of averages say you will put away some eventually.

On top of that we got to hope we have Dom back for say at least 7 of our remaining fixtures, you would have fancied him to have got a head on something today.

5 or 6 more wins needed, we arent getting that many, we are one of the worst 3 teams in the league. We have THE worse goal scoring record.....

Lots of stress coming but ultimately next season we will be a Championship team, BTW if we do go down we need to focus on just staying in existence than going straight back up....

Looks like it's very much ON again now, not that it ever went away.

At least with Dyche we've still got a chance of staying up, however small. We had next to none before his arrival.

It's going to be a rollercoaster ride between now and the end of the season.
