This isn't a worse team than the 98 side but that side had Duncan Ferguson up front, we are seeing how crucial it is to have a striker and how criminal it was that we couldn't get at least one in.
Don't agree with Leeds anyway . Or maybe wolves either. Forest game is huge of courseTrouble with the other 4-5 is I can see Leeds, Leicester, Wolves and West Ham all comfortably getting to 35-36 points now.
It's a very big ask for this team to get there based on wins at Goodison alone with the six home fixtures left. I'm expecting defeats v Man. City, Spurs and possibly Newcastle.
And stats show this team has very little when it goes a goal down so that's a massive problem in away games where team is more likely to concede first.
Arsenal away is all about GD protection for me and then have to go all out to win at Forest to really drag them back into it.
I don’t think we come back up mate, if your top scorer is on 3 going into March, there’s something seriously seriously wrong.Been saying it for the last two months. We are going down. Our only chance of staying up was the January window. We failed to bring anyone in for what ever the reason was. That was the nail in the coffin.
We have the right manager imo for where we are as a club. If we can keep a few players from this team, we should come back up. But this is Everton so you never know what can happen.
Yeah but we've got Vanorama League substitute quality Tom Davies to step into his shoes.Isn't Onana on about 8 yellows now? That's going to be another issue, two match ban when you hit 10 and hard to see him not picking up another yellow at Arsenal.

I think the evidence suggests our lack of goals is down to ability and not luck. A team with good forwards converts that pressure into at least 1 goal. This is our level.

Draws going to hurt as much as defeats in run in at Goodison. 1-0 defeat to Man. City and 1-0 win over Brentford gets that crucial extra point on the board compared to two battling 1-1 draws.
