Villa getting Emery in when they did was excellent for them. 13 points of a possible 18 in his first 6 games has pretty much saved them.

Hopefully Dyche can do similar and get results vs villa and forest in the next 3 as the run of games vs Chelsea, spurs, man united and then Fulham is going to be a tough few weeks.

I genuinely think we’ll be competitive in most games under Dyche. Teams will not want to come to Goodison. We’ve got a threat at set pieces, energy in the midfield, and the defence is getting better. I’d fancy us against anyone at home at the moment, and I think Dyche just genuinely doesn’t care who it is we’re playing.

If it was the one criticism I had about Moyes was that he was too reverential to the big teams. Dyche has an odd side to him where he doesn’t seem to really care who we’re playing against, or who is playing for us, he just seems to see it as 11 blokes delivering a performance.

Under Dyche we normally played well against United. You will roll Fulham over by just being really physical. We just used to shithouse them. Chelsea are not great currently and we always gave them a game so don't write that off.

If he can get you through this season, he will build you a stable team before you move to the new stadium.

Leeds have been badly Everton sacking Marsch without a replacement. Let’s be honest he wasn’t even doing a terrible job, they were unlucky to lose to Forest the other week for example. It’s nice to see another club run so poorly, but now manager-less. If they get Bielsa back it’s game over for them which is fantastic news for us.

Leeds must be the only club left that still asks "what would the Everton board do?".

We are still 3rd favourites for the drop. (Probably because we’ve already played the bottom 3 twice). That’s probably how I’d call it too, still lots of hard work and clean sheets needed.

no idea how forest got a point today or how southampton and bournemouth won away from home

this relegation battle baffles me
Their points were black swan events. Our last two wins were well earned and crafted. Those two will fall away again and become marooned. S'ton would be almost down now without Ward-Prowse. If he gets an injury it's the end for them.

Imagine if you’re Forest, you’ve just got a point against City late on, and you’ve actually LOST ground on the teams below.
Forest will come back to us. I dont want to get carried away with the two wins, but we'll finish above them - and they'll be safe btw.
