Nullify the Arsenal wide men and you nullify Arsenal. Our fullbacks were outstanding today defensively.
Myko - finally looked like he understood what was being asked of him

Coleman - Was just coleman. Last of a dying breed !!!
How so many people on here seem to slate him I will never understand.
He would carry this club to safety on his own if he could....

Official ratings:

Pickford - 7 - Seldom tested but solid when called upon.
Coleman - 8 - Impressive outing, excellent at the back and even put in several quality crosses.
Coady - 7 - Barely tested which is a credit to the midfield, solid when required.
Tarkowski - 8 - Crucial goal, solid aside from that yet rarely tested at the back.
Mykolenko - 8 - Much improved showing, stuck to the plan to mark his man out of the game and executed it to perfection.
Gueye - 8 - Excellent at the heart of midfield, lots of bite and calm in possession.
Onana - 9 - All-action display, dominant in the centre of the park and got up and down the park all day long. Crowd favourite and easy to see why.
Iwobi - 8 - Brilliant in a more unfamiliar or unfavoured wide position, yet excelled with his non-stop running. Cool on the ball and caused Arsenal lots of problems.
Doucouré - 7 - Quietly effective coming into the team unexpectedly. Assume he's been impressing in training. Slotted in nicely and displayed plenty of effort.
McNeil - 8 - Huge improvement under the guidance of his old boss. Impressed with his tracking back and won loads of corners. Nice ball in for our goal.
Calvert-Lewin - 8 - Isolated for large periods of the game but did very well to win headers and have several efforts on goal. On another day would have scored a brace. Needs to stay fit now.

I saw a side that played with heart and with determination. Coady and Tarkowski looked like a defensive partnership again. Myko had his best game for ages, Seamus was great, often with little help from Iwobi. Onana, best game in a blue shirt and Dom looked like he is returning to form. Dacoure looked like a man who had been told to play the way he feels he is most effective.McNeil flung in a good few quality crosses.

Obviously that was just one game, and we must be wary of how much of that was new manager bounce. But if we play like that against the rs, we WILL come away with at least a point.
