Dom isn't working by himself and Maupay isn't a lone striker, so it would make sense. However, it would mean we'd need to shift from his rigid approach.

You put any striker in the history of the game in that Everton team for a season and they don't get out of double figures. The one season we had a team designed to get the best out of Dom and he got like 17 league goals. The teams gash and a striker is only as good as his service.
