If we were trying to sign him, his price would jump up. Same goes with wages as well. As soon as our name is mentioned, clubs and Agents get to work. And we do it too. If say Norwich wanted 1 of our players, we would expect less than if Chelsea or Newcastle or City wanted a player.

Its just not as easy as signing everyone as cheap as certain other clubs, i wish people would understand this.

Important to note 3 things.

1. That donkey Iwobi is back to his usual form after a good 4 games, yet he’ll still get that fat new £100k/w contract. Another player we’ll be stuck paying when we can’t afford to because no other club would want him.

2. We apparently have a £40m+ player in Gordon on the bench that can’t even get on the pitch for the worst side in the league and we’ve offered him a stupid £100k deal too and will probably refuse to sell him this month despite there literally not being a single reason to keep him.

3. Our best player for about the last 5 years (who’s still here) can’t agree a contract despite being England’s first choice keeper, consistently good and someone we’d find hard to replace.
