January Transfer Window 2023

I'm not asking for money that isn't there to be spent.

Everton knew their financial situation in September. They also knew what the squad needed in September.

That means you spend that four months getting as ready as you can, working on the deals that you can with whatever budget is there and available, so you are ready to go in January.

We're two weeks into the month and not close to anything when the squad is desperately short of goals and creativity and in a worse position than last year, when we signed two very raw (poor) full-backs before the window opened.

We spent close to £90 millions in the summer mate. That should have been enough for the manager to have us midtable.

The fact we're scrambling around is an indictment on his managerial ability - yes some of the business like McNeil and Vinagre wasn't good enough but I guarantee we wouldn't be bottom 3 if an Alladyce type was in the dugout.

Thats not me saying I want Alladyce either but its clear we're being mismanaged on the pitch just as much off it which is why tbh im not too fussed if we do or dont do much this window as I dont trust Lampard to utilise any incomings effectively enough.

So rumours are Elanga could be close to a move to Everton.
As a United supporter, I would be absolutely thrilled to get rid of him. He is beyond useless. No idea why he was getting minutes ahead of Pellistri, Amad or even starting up front ahead of youth players like Charlie McNeill.
You guys should hope and pray this rumour isn’t true. He would offer nothing to your team and would just be another drain on the wage bill. He’s poor championship level at best. Hopefully you guys have better players lined up and this is just a rumour, and Elanga ends up at Newcastle so he can waste some of their transfer kitty

So a step up on our attack at least.

Thanks for the positive feedback on him mate, I can't wait for him to get relegated with us :)

I heard nothing but flannel in that Frank lampard press conference concerning new signings.
It’s clear we don’t have any money, even rumours we have to move someone out to fit elanga on loan isn’t there?

We are in a desperate state, bottom three, no goals in the team, others all strengthening and we don’t have a dime where the first half of the season suggests we really need at least three starters in to give us a chance.

I apologise! I was saying that bluetoff should not say we are not close to any signings as he cannot know that, unless he is one of the negotiators. No news does not mean we are far off or close, frustrating as that is to everyone outside the inner circle.

To be fair he's definitely strengthened the defence and improved the midfield, but the signings of Muppet and McNeil, every time I see them play are baffling, we need to concentrate every penny we have on a goalscoring pacy winger and a striker. Then we will have a fighting chance.

Preposterous

Word of the day I reckon ;)
In relation to Everton, its also super pliable.

Evertons tactics are preposterous.
Evertons transfer dealings or lack there of are preposterous.
Evertons owner is saying preposterous things on radio.
Evertons chariman is still Billy K, its ******* preposterous.
Evertons chaces of survival with the current owner and board members is preposterously small.
Everton didnt sell Gordon for decent money, which is preposterous!

..list goes on

The problem is here that people saying he definitely strengthened the defence and the midfield…yet we are in a worse position than we were last season.

So either that’s false and coady, gana, Onana, tarkowski aren’t a big upgrade or Lampard is doing a terrible job.

All the underlying stats suggests that our defence isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be either / so either the players are poor or the tactics lead to us facing attacks after attacks.

I can’t believe how calm and jokey his pressers are - frank pal…you are the manager of everton football club and you are in the bottom three. It’s not acceptable.
