I don't disagree with you, I'm just saying that I'd rather see Bily sold and Drenthe signed at this point. There were a few players who should have been taken off before Bily. Like one of our six defenders.
 

Two things...Bily and Coleman are not wingers. I'd rather see Barkley and Gueye on the wings than the aforementioned. Bily has no pace to get beyond his immediate opponent or crossing ability to play on the flank. Coleman has pace but lacks consistency with his crossing while his decision making is poor. For example, Hibbert made himself available on the overlap (on numerous occasions) today and he wasn't noticed because Coleman had his head down.

Conclusion - Gueye and Barkley on the wings, Coleman at right-back, Bily as a 'luxury' player off the bench.

See you're one of the fans that dont give Bily a break, the people who sit next to me who shout "Oh BILY" when Baines makes a bad pass and Bily has no chance of getting hold of.

Yeah he isnt the best in alot of games, and there are reasons for that, and yeah he could just be bad, but im sick of people who just give him abuse for no reason.
 
Oh and people saying he isnt a good footballer, yeah i heard you can be **** and still get in the Russian National team (y)

Having Bily in the lineup on Fifa makes the opposition fall about laughing.
Bily is so bad the sick kid thats mascot feels sorry for him.
Bily is so slow the parking attendent tried to chain him up on the left flank.

My answer on a whole as a player probably yes

My answer would be No

He needs to be sold. Drenthe needs to be made perm. And we need to sign another winger. Barkley is not a winger by the way! Guaye maybe.
 
i thought he was involved a bit more in te game but when he delivers like he did everyones frustration quickly returns

some of his crossing was so poor...as our crossing is generally poor for open play out wide you would think that we would try support our wide players more with an extra man or for the ball to be worked back inside rather than as it stands give them the ball only for it rarely ever meet its target

Would Bily be getting more game time under Martinez? I always liked the fella and think he'd be more suited to this style of play, even though I didn't rate him despite his obvious technical ability when confident.

Looks like I was right, by the way. I shall be bumping the Kone thread in similar fashion after he has left us to join FC Salamander in the Ghanaian league.
