Who should replace Frank Lampard?

I struggle to think of any other football club who have made such a catalogue of consecutive bad decisions in terms of every aspect of running it- from managerial appointments, to directors of football to transfer business. Even if you tried to run things so badly I think you’d accidentally end up getting some things right. If it was happening to someone else it would be startlingly impressive.

QPR, under Fernandez and Leeds, under Risdale, spring to mind.

It took one over a decade to get out of the Championship and the others still in there.

They are both Top European managers with a better pedigree than Pochetino.
And gone to 2 clubs in the same predicament as us.

But hey ho let's just be lil ole family club Everton.

Who would you like mert ?
I’d like Poch or Tuchel. Isn’t happening though.

Two choices, dyche type or stick with Frank, goin for so called elite managers e.g. tuchel is highly unlikely, who would you have?
It’s not though, you’re missing the point. Dyche style of football has nothing to do with this perceived perception that he’ll be able to come in and save a club from relegation when he’s never done it.

Like footballers, there’s a world of managers. It’s not one or the other; you need a manager that fits the club’s philosophy. The problem is, we don’t have a philosophy so it’s irrelevant what we think because our crackpot owner will do what he wants

We need to actually decide what the criteria for the role is:

- disjointed squad with a mixture of players
- struggling league position
- limited funds to work with
- possibly some decent youngsters coming through the ranks
- Interfering from boardroom level (this may suit a more experienced head who knows how to deal with these situations)
- demanding crowd who are very, very fed up of the last few years

I think we need someone who is tactically flexible and can get the best out of our mishmash of a squad whilst it's changing and someone who is possibly able to deal with and tell those upstairs and tell them a few home truths.
