Really not enjoying the manager constantly carping on about being in a relegation battle, and they “we’ve gotta stick together/the fans need to stay with us” bs, inspiring stuff indeed.

Seems that all he’s saying to the players as he’s just had 7 weeks to work with them players and from an effort POV & tactically I didn’t have a clue what the plan was today (neither did any of the players tbh!).

Currently we are the worst team,
Don't think we should be.
Honestly think we have the worst manger.
The fans need to be patient, for what?
yet more impotent, boring football.
We know what we are watching.
He stays even with a forward we are going down.

I couldn’t believe how dire the atmosphere was against Wolves.

To those fans who criticise and sometimes even abuse our own players: do you seriously think it’ll make us play better?

I scoffed when the former England goalkeeper Ben Foster said that opposing teams love playing at Goodison because of how negative we fans are, but I’m starting to believe it.

Mate I am with you. I am on the edge of completely giving up and being a casual football watcher. Even during the late 90s and early 2000s this team had something to keep me interested, fight passion etc. This team does nothing except make me completely miserable, and I dislike every single one of them.
100%. I really enjoyed the world cup so I must still love the game but all Everton have done is put a dampener on a good Xmas.

It isn't a pretty picture for us. West Ham and Leeds aren't playing fantastic but both have been unlucky on a few occasions which isn't something we can claim. They figure to be alright. Wolves have stunk but appointed a real manager and I think have enough talent to get by. They weren't great today but I think they'll run us close at worst. Bournemouth, Forest and Saints all stink as much as we do on all fronts so to me that is your group of competitors. Bournemouth already have a bit of a jump on us however which is concerning. Saints home in a few weeks is a cup final level match.

Very fair.

The kindest thing you can say, is that there are a lot of poor teams. We may be the worst of the lot currently though.

Makes me angry that this comment from a nobody has become some philosophical insight to constantly belittle the fans, nobody was saying this when we kept us up last year. Maybe, just maybe, it is the manager and the players who are responsible, not us. No matter what utter dross is being served up, our fans travel day and night to watch us get mullered. Our fans don’t deserve this knife in the back!!!
