Anyone going to Sydney??

BGC + Rockwell in Manila are two places far superior than anything Sydney has to offer. Thats before the service quality and general friendliness.

Also, no...i dont 'come' from Manila.

Ive also personally encountered more financial scammers specifically in Sydney than anywhere else on the planet.
I’m in BGC now, currently nursing a San Miguel hangover.

Same for me, only ever fly in for the yacht show.

Stayed near Darling (The Star Casino Hotel)

Been to all the others on the list and for me KL comes out bottom (but still ok) , Singapore top. Sydney? Absolutely fine.

KL has grown on me. I also used to dislike it but KLCC and Pavilion areas have evolved.

The service level there is on a par with SG and theyre quite relaxing nice places to spend a week.

No doubt with a family Singapore would be top as a location to live. Single, 3months is enough before you start flying out for weekends and exploring.

Yeah, I don't think I'd enjoy living there (Sin) beyond using it as a base for further exploration. Done most the islands around there already.

The major problems I had with Perth were:

1: The road right next to the ocean...its just bizarre.

2: The main high street looks like something from 30years ago. Rough.

I did like the restaurant on the hill there where you have nice views.
I assume the restaurant you mean is Frasers, it's pretty good but there are a lot better. And South Perth foreshore has better views.

I do try and avoid the cbd, same generic shops during the day, closed at night.

Not sure what is wrong with the road though?

Oh, and Sydney is a great city

Overpriced dumps like Four seasons, The observatory etc etc

Best part of it was a Fish&Chip shop on Darling Harbour which closed down 15 years ago. Pre-covid the 'treat' was sitting in a bar at the rocks gazing at the water and opera house and dreaming of being somewhere else.

Been many times...from the shocking airport queues all the way through to the poor levels of service.

FYI I named two areas in Manila that are far superior to anything in Sydney. BGC and Rockwell. They arent 'cities' in their own right as theyre parts of Manila -- Rockwell in Makati and BGC aka Fort Bonifacio.

If you had visited, you would have known that.

You named "bankstown", would you judge Sydney on that one area or on the best couple of areas?

No idea what this means.

Id probably put Sydney on a par with Jakarta.

Rather than holding your breath in Manilla as its one of the most polluted places on planet earth?

You’re doing Sydney all wrong Zatman.
