Yeah, I thought so too. By the time they got here I had already discounted Gangs of New York as I thought it may be a bit too violent for Michelle. Rob said he didn't want to watch Last of the Mohicans. Have you seen it before I asked. No but I know I won't like it. God help me. :) So we watched Arn and he mumbled and grumbled all the way through it, kept on trying to predict what was going to happen next, and declared at the end that it was all a bit too girly for him. I mean, it's set in the crusades and half the film comprised people knocking 10 tons of crap out of each other. lolMichelle, on the other hand, said she really enjoyed it.

And therein lies the problem. What he likes, she doesn't and vice versa. And at least a quarter of my library neither would like as they don't like science fiction, horror, fantasy, Quentin Tarantino or Leonardo DiCaprio. So I said we'd take turns choosing the movie to watch and he could pick the next one. Roll on next week.
What's wrong with Rob?? lol The Last of the Mohicans is one of the best movies ever!

Yes if you live near any kids they dress up and visit to be given sweets .The shops are full of stuff at the moment we even have special chocolates etc.
Never more than an apple tart when I was a child although we did go door to door to try and get some money for our costume efforts.

What I do notice now is that kids only seem to go to the houses of family now, no more knocking random doors for probably the reasons I am guessing.

I tried to tell him that V, but he's got this preconceived idea that he won't like it and won't budge. He's a complex character. Even if he watched it he'd make sure he didn't like it, just to prove to himself he was right.

Michelle tells me she does things, like making a chilli with half beef half Quorn, or cooking stuff in the air fryer, without telling him, because she knows if she did he'd say he didn't like it.
