Have to say Wolves have the look of team going down, can't score and can't keep clean sheets. Keeping that caretaker in charge adds to the feeling they've completely lost their way with decisions in last 12 months.

Totally agree, and I bet the Wolves Forums are going loopy over letting Coady leave. They need a Kevin Campbell type signing to come in and hit the ground running in January.

Think it's fairly nailed on the Forest, Leeds and Bournemouth are going down at this stage. Southampton will 100% be dragged into it and I think if Wolves don't get the right manager in they'll be in it too. Don't think we have anything at all to be worrying about. Unlike last year there are easily more than 3 teams worse than us, on the contrary I don't think there's anyone except Newcastle outside of the "Big 6" that are far better than us. Anything from 8th down is up for grabs for us in my opinion.

They comfortably look the worst team in the league for me so far, but their main issue is goals, and they can still turn it around if they sign a goalscorer. They aren't a terrible side, they just have a total lack of goals. That can be fixed with 2 good signings.

There are no teams this year who are close to as poor as Watford and Norwich were last year.

Let's hope they don't snap up Rondom

Norwich only had 5 points by start of December IIRC so none of those teams can emulate them now.

Watford better comparison as they picked up some wins early season before the Ranieri appointment sent them into a nosedive down the table.

Villa will comfortably get clear with Emery. Watched West Ham last night and thought they were terrible but again Moyes knows how to win enough of those games over a season and they're comfortable mid table now.
West Ham, Villa and Leicester all have too much quality for me. Wolves, Saints, Bournemouth, Forest and Leeds are our rivals. Worth keeping an eye on Brentford, Brighton and Palace who could struggle if they pick up an injury or 2

We can be dragged into it because of a lack of goals. Need to start getting goals from set pieces. This should be a good area for us on paper

Don't we need two goalscorers, like Wolves? Early days to rely on DCL, Gordon, McNeill and Maups - though at least they have started. Two wins off relegation places is not comfortable

Yeah, I think Villa and West Ham just have too much going for them with those managers. Those two know how to grind points out.

If those are going down, it's a season or two from now as key pieces age out or leave. Villa will be in FFP handcuffs soon with a bunch of players approaching the age-related dropoff, and West Ham never gets value for Rice and Soucek. That could sting one or both, depending on how things play out.

At the end of the day, Lampard alongside Thelwell signed off on bringing in Dwight McNeil over getting a striker we badly, badly needed.

He willingly went into the season relying solely on an injury prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin to somehow stay fit and score not only a decent number of goals, but also an additional 10/15 to replace what we lost in Richarlison.

I've never seen such a meek and, to be honest, pathetic attempt to put pressure on the board to get him the striker he needed in the summer. The furthest Lampard was prepared to go was to say "everybody knows the positions we need strengthening in".

If he had a bit more about him he'd have told the truth and said we almost went down with Richarlison available, and if we don't adaquately replace him we'll be staring down the barrel this season.

Most other managers, knowing a relegation battle is almost a certainty unless they got a replacement in, would have been shouting it from the rooftops.

So back to my first paragraph; Lampard signed off on this and is all also very much to blame for the upcoming fight against relegation.
There were no forwards that we could sign that were any use …get a grip . The ones we were linked with were embarrassing .. Lampard and Thelwell are doing great so leave them alone …… do you actually want us to succeed or fail …?

Both players you are slagging off scored in a 3 nil win at the weekend. Just something to consider while you slag them off and pretend we don't have goals in the team and are going to be in a relegation scrap.

Interesting fixture list this weekend. Pretty certain every single team below us, play teams above us (bar Soton v Palace).

1 point will be very handy for us, 3 would be incredible.
