Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good evening from sunny Italy ( for the time being anyway).
Off to Capri tomorrow.
Have fun everyone.View attachment 184913
Hi Jazzy, great pic, hope you're having thebest time.
I'm off on a cruise on Tuesday (covid test permitting) we will be stopping off in Naples, we have 10hrs ashore so we will be going to see Pompeii, haven't booked anything we may just walk up into the town for a pizza and chianti just for the hell of it and sit and admire the view.

Had a quiet night out with just a couple of the boys yesterday Took it easy on the beers. Only had 6 pints but over a 7 hour period with food mixed in so not feeling too bad this morning.

We went to town and came across one or two hen parties. One poor girl was dressed as a giant inflatable penis. She must have had the dress made bespoke. Only in Liverpool I guess.

Managed to stock up on my favourite Malaysian chilli sauce when I was in Chinatown yesterday, to take back down to Cornwall with me. That should keep me going til next year. Hopefully.

It's 12 months today since my Cal left me. The time has passed so quickly.

Of course I miss her terribly but I've moved on so much from the utter desolation of 12 months ago. A lot of that is down to the friendship and support I've had from you guys and of course Karl for setting up this little haven.

I just want to take this opportunity to say thanks guys.

Bloody hell mate. A year already.

You’ve coped so admirably, man. She’d be extremely proud of you and your ragtag new gang of mates.

Mate, you have been amazing over the past year, you've come so far and done so much.

I thought it was tomorrow @Barnfred 55 so sorry as I wanted so much to show we all care by posting before you . From my point you have brightened our lives and for that we thank you . We will have a toast to you both later . Stay strong that man .

If you're looking ar doing a trip to one of the local ancient Roman sites I'd recommend Herculaneum rather than Pompeii. It's so much better preserved. Both are worth a look see though.

Ain't much in Naples itself IMO.

Enjoy the cruise mate. Seems to be a few of us doing them this year. Maybe we should have the reunion on one too rather than back in Liverpool ?

You have been in my thoughts this morning and I have been thinking what to post without sounding patronising. Anyway what I’m trying to say is you have come a long way since your original post on the depression thread and the utter devastation you were feeling. This is down to you and it’s been a pleasure to support you on your journey. I know that doesn’t read right but what I’m trying to say is I along with everyone else think you’re brilliant. I’m not going to let up on the gifs in future though.

If you ever need any more, let me know as I’d happily post it down as I suspect it’s the same one I buy from my local chippy.

Additionally, I hope today goes okay for you as I know how rubbish the anniversary of a death of a loved one can be.

Bless you. I knew it was today and have been thinking of you. She will be so proud of how you have coped and will of course continue to keep looking after you.

Hugs x

Thanks for the kind words guys. It means a lot.

Just in Dobbies having lunch and reading the messages. Getting a few strange looks from other punters whenever I stop to wipe my eyes. But if they notice I'm looking at an Everton fan site I suppose it will all make sense?
